Feel it quietly, tryna silence me, yeah Shawshank, April 13, 2025 With a Pippin on my lap, we’ve started a new day. It’s a rainy one out there. But if it’s not snow, I’m not too annoyed by it. The farmers will say we need the rain, so I guess we need the rain. I don’t need the rain. But I’ll allow it. We didn’t get off the couch yesterday. We sat on it all day. We did a marathon of the Hunger Games movies. As luck would have it, as I was looking at my on this day posts, 4 years ago I did a Hunger Games marathon. It was a good day, with us roasting the movies as they played. They’re not bad movies, but the makeup got worse as the movies went on. Jennifer Lawrence’s face looked like it got rounder, and flatter as the series went on. If there was one more movie, I fear she’d have looked like a full moon. Today, is the normal Sunday stuff. Laundry, and chores. Then brunch. Mmm bacon. Then, in the afternoon, we’ll head over to Shady Acres for dinner. Just another normal Sunday. The second one, without help until second shift got in. Even so, at that point, I only had 9 boxes of freight to go. I called out, asking for help twice. Didn’t receive it. The last… Read More
Life Didn’t take long just to drink and a song June 8, 2026 The storms have all cleared in the night. Although it was a crazy evening last night, with the power even going out a couple of times. I even looked up to the sky, and said quietly, “don’t you think it’s time to turn the power back on?” And then, the… Read More
