Break me off a piece of that KitKat bar

It’s bright and sunny. The birds are singing outside, and both cats are on the little table, looking outside. Staring directly into the sunrise. They are totally happy. It’s Sunday, and there’s no wind out there, just sun.

I slept like the dead. I think if I didn’t have the alarm set, I think I’d still be sleeping right now. I had some strange dreams. Nothing too crazy( but I think all the shows that we watched yesterday totally contributed to my dreams. I don’t remember them, I just feel that they were strange.

The shows we watched yesterday included: a couple of episodes of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, then a couple of episodes of The X-Files, and then during dinner, it was an episode of Last Week Tonight.

It was the perfect storm of strangeness.

Dinner was two giant plates of nachos. The restaurant wasn’t open, due to some scheduling problems. And the nachos were huge. We ate our fill, and were couch locked for the rest of the night.

Rewinding a little, we drove to SlightlyBiggerTown in the morning. It was a little drizzly, and windy. But we made it and grabbed the food that we need for the next couple of weeks, hit up the pharmacy, and eventually made it to the local dispensary.

Crystal’s vape battery died less than a week after we bought it. So we were going to replace it, when Crystal asked if she could get me the vape box battery mod thing that I’d been looking at for a couple of weeks for an early birthday present. So that’s what we did.

I think that it was a pretty good Saturday. We made it home around the usual time, and then we feasted on our Subway sandwiches. It was a good day. a very good day. Def in the top ten of Saturdays w/ chores that I’ve had in a while. Of course now it’s Sunday, and the real chores are waiting to happen. That’ll be in a few hours. But first coffee.

Don’t let ’em pick guitars or drive them old trucks let ’em be doctors and lawyers and such

I woke up one minute before the alarm. I think Sir Chaucer was getting sick in my vicinity. Either way, the alarm went off, and I found myself alone in the bed. Crystal had a bit of a coughing fit, she told me. I didn’t hear anything.

It took a few extra minutes to fall asleep. At one point I thought, I don’t think I’ll fall asleep. I was too warm, I couldn’t breathe through my nose, and then suddenly, I was out. No fade to black, or anything like that. I think I was just out.

I got up once in the night. It was either 1am or 3am. I don’t know. I don’t think my eyes focused too fast, and my brain just filled in what I wanted to see. I got up, did my thang, and quietly climbed back into bed to snuggle the queen.

Once I got comfortable, I don’t think I moved until the untz untz wub wub was over. Now I have a Chaucer by my feet, and the tiny Pippin all stretched out on my lap.

It’s the start of a long weekend. It’s a good start if you ask me. Anytime I have Crystal next to me, and the cats close by, it’s a good day. The coffee is just an added bonus.

As usual, nothing is really on the table this morning. Later on, we’ll be heading to SlightlyBiggerTown for groceries, and some more weed. Crystal’s vape battery shit the bed, and only works whilst plugged in, so we’ll grab another one for her. And a couple of carts. But that’s about it. I have to make a shopping list.

But first coffee. Happy Saturday motherbitches. I hope y’all have a good long weekend. If you don’t have a long weekend this week, I’m sorry son, maybe next time.

You are my fire the one desire

Awake. Finally I wake up, and it’s Friyay! It’s bright and sunny currently, but Crystal said “considerable clouds” for the afternoon. I slept until the alarm went off, but Crystal was up much earlier. I woke up when the alarm went off, and the bed was empty.

So I roll out of bed, and get ready to start the day. Crystal is awake, and the coffee has been made. That’s always the silver lining to when Crystal gets up, she turns the coffee pot on.

Last closing shift tonight. Then it’s mornings again for the week. Not too bad. I really do prefer the morning shift, but I don’t mind the closing shift. Yesterday the big news, was we got to watch all the potholes get filled in. It took the guy about an hour or so.

Other than that, nothing too much going on here. I’m still waking up. The coffee is helping with that. And coming up, I have a three day weekend! Yep thanks to good ol Queen Victoria, we have a nice May long weekend. Or as the locals call it “The May Long”.

This is my bohème, so drink it up, my friend

I’m awake, but I’m not liking it. I didn’t sleep great. My shoulder was bothering me. But I couldn’t breathe on one side. So I rolled over on to the bad shoulder. I usually sleep good on that side. I roll over, and then my shoulder just screams. So I roll back over and try to get comfortable. Rinse, repeat.

So yeah, the coffee tastes really good this morning. I had gotten up in the night to go to the bathroom, and Chaucer was snuggled between Crystal’s legs.

It’s somewhat sunny out there. Just going with previous weather from the last couple of days, the sun won’t last. It’ll cloud over like it always does. I think it’s even supposed to rain sometime either today or tomorrow.

When will the rain end?

Work hasn’t been too bad. Closing always sucks, but it’s been pretty good. I’ve been doing the closing paperwork, so I’ve been learning that end. I encountered a problem, and WishJensenAckles tried to explain, but my brain just wasn’t accepting new information at 8pm at night, so I did what anyone would do – future Shawshank can deal with it. So I left a note saying that I’d be in 15 minutes earlier today, to learn how to do it.

But first: more coffee.

It’s almost the weekend. Thank god. Happy Thursday, y’all.
