Sometimes you tell the day by the bottle that you drink

Usually, I’m still sleeping at this time in a Sunday. Podrick was very considerate this morning. And I think and one point, he was snuggled up to the back of knees. Good morning, happy Sunday. It’s bright and sunny, with some birds singing outside.

Coffee has been brewed and, the kittens have been fed. Podrick has gone back to his bowl for a second time, before trotting away.

Work wasn’t too bad yesterday. Slower than normal Saturday evening. But me and GenAlpha made it through. Even with a phone call around 8, with a guy about 45 minutes away with 5 tanks to fill with propane. He got there and I tried tried to get the propane into his tanks, I tried all five, and even one of ours. I just couldn’t get them to fill. Very frustrating for me, and even more frustrating to the customer that’s currently living in an RV – probably for the summer whilst working in the area. I tried for about a half hour trying to fill the tanks.

He understood that we could have a problem with our pump, so he left and I walked back into the store, now about a half hour behind all the closing things that I need to do. but we managed to get out pretty much on time. Just a frustrating, and stressful evening. But I have another register trained coworker with me. Oh, and I have to do something that the opening manager forgot to do yesterday morning.

Good times.

Coffee first.

I’m bringing booty back, go ‘head and tell them skinny bitches that

Weekend of work. Yeppers, I’m closing the shop today, and then I’ll be headlining there from 10-6. You know, the usual – signing autographs, photo ops. The usual. So if you’re in the area, come on down and grab a coke and a smile, and say hi. I’ll leave the coffee on. It’s not actually as bad as I make it out to be. I don’t mind working the weekends. I like not working the weekends more, but you gotta do what you gotta do.

The mid shift wasn’t too bad yesterday. Although, I had to laugh at one point. I get in say hey to everyone, walk a couple rounds of the store, step out and help a customer outside? And then, after all that busyness, I go to the bathroom. When I come out I see the time. I had been there a whole 10 minutes! I thought the work that I had already done, was worth at the most 30 minutes there. But alas, earwax, it was not ment to be. But the times seem to move rather quickly. Groceries came and we had them checked off and put away long before 2nd shift arrived.

From there, I came home. Determined to win on the deck I’ve been playing with on Balatro, I hunkered down and tried. I came so close the first time. But no dice. I think I tried four or five times, always the bridesmaid, never the bride. But I will win using that deck.

And said, “Whatever happened to my Transylvania twist?”

It’s bright and sunny, I promised Pippin yesterday that I’d open the back door for her as soon as I got up. So I tapped on the table this morning, and took a very happy table ride, and is currently very happy, sitting on the back table taking in the back door neighbourhood.

Podrick on the other hand, is simply vibrating with excitement. He’s all over the place, jumping from piece of furniture to furniture. He’s been up for a while, and actually drove The Beautiful One out of bed this morning, so I could sleep about 40 minutes or so.

Work wasn’t too bad last night, even with a third person there with us last night. It rained on and off. But we managed to survive the night, and we headed home after a very long 8 hour shift. Not too much going on today. We’ll hit up the second hand store this afternoon. And for dinner, poutine. Aww yiss.
