You look like an angel, walk like an angel

All I have to do is survive just one little 10-6 shaft at work. Well technically it’s 9:30-6:15, and then I’ll be on two glorious days off. It’s been a long week, but we’re just about across the finish line.

I can do this.

The alarm clock ripped me out of a quiet slumber this morning. Causing me to get out of a perfectly warm bed, to pull on cold clothes. But I’m slowly warming up, and Pippin is lending her body heat to warm me up too. She’s snuggled in my legs.

Work went a lot better yesterday than Friday. The time was moving at a normal pace, and really before we knew it, it was time to close up and get the heck out of there. It was a little busier than Friday as well, but it was very manageable.

I just can’t wait for 6pm to get here. Chicken fajitas, and the couch is calling me. Plus snuggling with the Beautiful One is always on my list. She’s the greatest.

Viva la Sunday!

God, what have you done?

Good morning everyone. We’re all awake here. Since we’re all awake, the TV is on, and since it’s the weekend, Dateline is on. It also looks like the wind has finally slowed to livable levels.

It was wicked windy at the top of the hill at work last night. But we managed to live through what was quite possibly the longest shift in the history of the world. Time just didn’t want to move yesterday. We’d have rushed that felt like they lasted a half hour, but when the rush was over, only 10 minutes had passed. Repeat all night.

Back to work this afternoon. And work all day tomorrow. Sundays are easy. One of my coworkers doesn’t like the Sunday hours because he has to do the opening paperwork as well and the closing paperwork all in one day. When I heard that, I was like really dude? Sundays are easy. We open at 10 am. The next thing you know it’s noon, and the next time you look at the clock, it’s 3 and it’s time to start all the closing procedures. I just shake my head. The 10-6 shift is so simple. I just fill out the closing paperwork at the same time as I’m opening.

I’ve got the feeling that something ain’t right

It took forever for me to fall asleep last night. And Pippin didn’t help at all. Thrice, she was on top of me, THRICE, I lifted the blanket for her to snuggle. ThRiCe, she merped and ran off. I was done at that point, and ignored he every other time she came up and wanted to snuggled.

Anyways, so far, the blizzard that’s supposed to be happening right now has, well, come up a little short so far. Just a dusting, or skiff as my mother would say. It looks like it’s a little windy out there, but nothing too much out there. Perhaps the snow will start a little later? Who knows, it’s 3rd winter. Everything is up for grabs.

In fact, looking at the weather app, we’re not expecting anymore snow here until around April 4th. I’ll take it! Hopefully the wind will stay down. I could deal with the snow. But the wind just drains you when you’re outside.

Oh, also on Wednesday as I was clearing out all the games I don’t play, but collect, I finally created an account for Infinity Nikki. It’s a very cute game, I would definitely have to concentrate on it , as it seems like a pretty in depth game. The sad thing is, it’s a mobile game, so the controls are a little wonky.

But the graphics are pretty freaking great for a mobile game. I would say that they’re pretty close, if not equal to the switch. But that’s just me talking out of my ass. It’s a very pretty game for sure.

You never count your money when you’re sittin’ at the table. There’ll be time enough for countin’ when the dealing’s done

Good morning all you crazy crazy people. The Flat is awake, and the coffee just finished brewing. I have The Beautiful One sitting next to me, and the tiny Pippin cat snuggled on my lap.

I slept like the dead last night. I don’t think I moved too much last night. I did get up in the night to use the facilities, and climbed back into bed where I snuggled Crystal as closely as I could. Like I’ve said in the past, the bed was the most perfect temperature.

We didn’t do a bunch of anything. It was a good sloth day. Around lunch time I made brunch, and Crystal enjoyed some bacon and pancakes for breakfast, where I had eggs, bacon, and hash browns. After the meal, we were nice and full.

After brunch, we sat on the couch and Crystal played some Balatro, and I play some Slay the Spire on my phone. I cleared out some other games that I downloaded and then never played. I have to try and get my Battle.net account up and running again, then I can try Hearthstone. But that might be a hassle. I haven’t decided yet.
