Hoping it’ll take me just a little farther down the line

Good sunny morning everyone. It’s still sunny, and bright. The wind however, has ramped up a little. Podrick let us sleep in this morning just a little bit. Pippin is happily installed on the back table, and she’s looking out over her queendom.

We didn’t do a whole lot of anything yesterday. I moved the cat tree out for the front door, and it’s turned into something like neutral ground. They can both hang out on it and look out the front door. They’ve both been very good. They chase each other around, and Pippin has gotten a lot of good smells of Podrick’s butt.

During the course of the morning we went to the local green house and picked up a couple of plants for the planter pots out in the back yard. We got some pretty flowering plants, and I found some Habanero plants. So in a month or so, we’ll have spicy peppers to add to our meals.

Since we slept in a little, I’ll be starting the laundry with a wide awake kitten running around. That’s ok, he needs to get used to all the new sounds. This afternoon, we’ll head over to Shady Acres for dinner. I think I’ll be helping my father fix the grandfather clock in the living room.

Hanging on to hope, I’m losing grip of time and space

Good morning. Nothing kitties, and the Beautiful One let me sleep in a little bit this morning. It’s much appreciated for sure. The sun is out and the birds are singing out there. I have the kitchen window open wide, and Pippin is enjoying the sun against her fur from her table at the back door.

Podrick is relaxing for a few minutes on my legs. He was a very good boy this morning, letting me sleep in. They both did really well while we were in SlightlyBiggerTown for a couple of hours yesterday. We came back after shopping, and the Flat was still standing.

We have absolutely no plans for today. It’s supposed to get pretty warm over the next couple of days. High of 76 today. Not too shabby, if you ask me.

Maybe I’ll win Balatro again. I’m kind of a high roller when I play.

The dawn came late and the breakfast had to wait

Pippin and Podrick kinda let us sleep in this morning. I’m sure pippin was some place else, and for the most part I didn’t feel Podrick blunder over the bed. I heard a couple of mews, and then some giggling, but that’s about it. Before I knew it, I was being nudged awake.

And now, here I am.

We’re all awake now. Pippin looking out the back window, and Podrick working on second helpings.

I switched shifts with a coworker, so I have a short shift, and then we’ll be going grocery shopping in SlightlyBiggerTown. That way, we don’t have to do anything tomorrow, but play Balatro, and play with the kitties.

Daily Podrick picture? Lemme see what I got. Happy Friyay!

Ooh, mamacita, now you’re ringin’ the bell

One day I’ll sleep all the way through the night. Only had to get up once, but every time I rolled over, I woke up. It was a tossy turny night. And I was totally stuffed up. It’s spring time on the prairies. I could feel the tiny bull bounce all over the bed in the night, and this morning. He’s a morning person. but we got up and I made coffee, and said good morning to the Pippin. I discovered that I forgot to close the back door last night, which explains why it’s a little chilly in the apartment. But Pippin is looking out the back window. And the tiny one, Podrick is purring on my lap. He’s a loud purrer. He’ll be out for maybe a few minutes, and then he’ll be the middle in the house. I don’t know what time he finally crashed.

Work wasn’t too bad last night. We’re training a new part time high schooler. With that, the pumps went down for about a half hour. I learned some things about the emergency shut off, and I think we handled it pretty professionally. Within about a half hour the general manager was there and helped me through everything. I thanked him, and he was off to wherever general managers go when they’re not needed. The rest of the evening went as per normal.

He’s off my lap, so I can press post on this, and go and get some more coffee. Happy Thursday!
