LICKS
So a nurse in a facemask, 5 or 6 guys scrubbing out a cell, and Poland has been sleeping all day. I think he came out for like 15 minutes for breakfast, then nothing. He’s been sleeping since. I forwent (forgone?) my nap, so I’m proper tired tonight. We’re having a town hall meeting with the warden on Monday about the Coronavirus, so we’ll see what he has to say about it.
It’s hard to explain what goes on in here. I get up, and wait for breakfast, eat, either watch TV or read. Lock in for an hour, release, wait for lunch. Read or watch TV. Lock in for an hour. Release. Wait for dinner. It’s all downtime. You look forward to the barber – it’s different. Out of the norm. Everything happens on its own time here. NOTHING every starts at its scheduled time. Unless it’s the lock ins. This place forces patience. Even for me that loves routine, it’s crazy. Did you hear that? CAPT. ROUTINE says it’s too much for him.
I really miss my wedding ring. I’m either going to find us some in Canada, or I’m going to order the coin rings for us. I think I want the big Canadian on. I can’t remember which one you really liked, but whichever one you want, I’ll get it for you. if you want one
You spin me right ’round baby, right round. 🙂
Another letter almost done. And here I was worried that I was starting to run out of things to say. I guess not! And I’ve been trying not to repeat myself as much.
Mistake… a standard REDACTED letter I believe is like 4 pages now this so far is only like almost 3, so I have a little farther to go! Looks like I won’t finish this one tonight like I thought I would, should be fiishing tomorrow I think. But in all honesty, I can’t really remember what a standard REDACTED letter is anymore! 1, 2, 3, 4? I’ll just write em if you promise to read em!
So Wednesday I bought some coffee to be delivered today. Thursday the money was returned because they were out, so today I reordered it, and I’m feeling very very guilty. I’m trying not to spend like a madman. It just feels so extravagant. I put other stuff in my basket but put them all back. But I did buy stamps, hopefully those will make it here.
On a positive note, I have not even though about buying a soda. That’s a really good thing. Water, some koffe, a powdered juice every so often. Other than that, clean L-I-V-I-N’. LOLCourse just think, in a few months you’ll have to call them “pop”. LOL
I mostly just get ramen. It’s wicked cheap, and somewhat filling. The order I just place, if all is sent, will be the first order that has a different food in it (coffee) not including the very first order of peanut butter which I just finished today. Thankfully Owen left me his bowl I do have to share it with Bosnia. That boy ain’t right.
Tonight’s dinner was very very underwhelming. Ghetto fish mac and cheese, minus the cheese, cole slaw, and a thimble of cherry jello. I really think that’s the fastest I’ve made ramen after a meal in here. Soy sauce, or oriental flavour isn’t too bad. Poland came out to get his commasary, and is sleeping again…. covid-19? Perhaps. It’s crazy he spends $100 a week on commasary. I feel terrible because I spent $12 ($5.50 was stamps).
I miss you.
I love you.
Soon I can call you.
It’s always a melloncholy feeling when I hear “You have 1 minute remaining”. It’s hard for me to not just walk to the back of the line and call you again. It’s like you’re the high and when I hang up, I crash down. Hard. I wish I could put it into words better.
It’s 8:40, and there’s phones empty. I will not call. You’re my drug and I need you, but I will not call. I need you to live. I need you for life. I will not call.
M-W-F-S
I will not call.
Reading A Handmaid’s Tale, just past the section where the Commander translates her Latin phrase. I think it works here as well:
DON’T LET THE BASTARDS GRIND YOU DOWN.
I believe this pen is slowly crapping out on me. Good thing I have one other one tucked away under my bed 🙂
Ok, I kinda cheated on this last page, lol.
I miss you so much
I love you very much
REDACTED
Suggles you close
Sleep well princess
