That old diesel engine made an eerie sound

Good morning. Awake long before my alarm went off. Remind me when I go to SlightlyBiggerTown on Monday to go to the thrift store and look for something I can hang up over the blinds in the bedroom. That’ll help, I’m sure.

But it’s Friyay, it’s the end of the week, I just have to survive the day, and then 3 magical days off. Woot! It’s bright and sunny outside. Let’s hope when I say that snows supposed to melt today, that it doesn’t snow for 4 hours today.

But for now, it’s coffee and news. Don’t have really anything else to report. So you have a Good Friday, and we’ll be in touch. Enjoy your Friday!!

Book appreciation – House of Leaves

Crystal is rereading House of Leaves by Mark Z. Danielewski. This, contrary to my post history, is my absolute favourite book. Ever.

You have to start your admiration of it by the cover. You simply cannot judge this book by the cover. You can’t even read reviews if it on the internet. You have to just dive in yourself. Period.

It’s it horror? Mystery? A love story? It simply is what you think it is.

For me, it’s all the above. For me, it is a horror. It is a mystery. It’s also a love story. It’s an entire world between a cover.

Have you read this hefty tome? What did you think of it?
