You wanna guess the address of the party I’m at

Shawshank, October 6, 2024

I’m awake, I promise that I am.

I slept like the dead last night. I slept like the dead this morning as well. Minus about 39 seconds, when Pippin was trying to get into the bedroom closet. I threw a towel at her, got up and made sure everything was ok, then went back to sleep.

But here we are. Chaucer has taken up residence on my lap. He would stay there all day, and all night if he had a choice. He always looks so very comfortable every time we can see his sleeping face. Sometimes, if he’s really relaxed, he’ll simply face-plant, and sleep like that.

Too cute.

But today is chore day. I cannot rest on my laurels this fine morning. It looks like the wind has slowed down a heck of a lot. The wind gusts are down from 90-100kph, to about 30kph. So, that’s almost like a holiday from the dastardly wind.

But I’ll get up in a couple of minutes. I’ll need to refill my coffee, and at the same time, I’ll sort out the laundry.

Two opening shifts this week, and the rest are closing. At this point, I much prefer the closing shifts. Ahh well, it is what it is.

Good morning mothafuckas , it’s Thursday, and a crop duster has been flying for about an hour or so. It sounds like this flying right above the flat, but I know it isn’t. Between that and Pippin trying to snuggle this morning, I’ve been partially awake for a while, but…
