Here I am. Sweating. Work is done for the day.

I had to force myself to go back to sleep at 4 am this morning by repeatedly telling myself, listen up idiot, your alarm WILL go off. I managed to fall back asleep, waking quickly at 4:30, then the alarm went off (like I said it would), and I was up. I helped Crystal navigate in the darkness to get into the bedroom, the. I got dressed, and stared into the void until it was time to head to work.

Now I’m home. Dinner has been planned. I may just put the bacon back into the freezer, and make the chicken sandwiches without (gasp!) the bacon. It would be the smart thing to do. It’s warm, but there’s a breeze, but I don’t want to stand over the stove to cook 4 slices of bacon and have the oven on.

But now, I think I’m just gonna zone out, or possibly play rollercoaster tycoon. Maybe a snack. Maybe all three.

It’s Saturday. Two more shifts.

My feet hurt.
