Who will you call up when the plane starts to go down?

Shawshank, January 8, 2026

We climbed into bed last night, kisses were exchanged. Snuggles started. I turned on my sleepy time video, and got comfortable. Within, probably just a couple of minutes, I was out. Dead to the world.

That hasn’t happened in a long time.

I stayed asleep until Podrick started his shenanigans this morning. He was digging on Crystal’s side of the bed, namely on her nightstand. She removed him from the bedroom, and took him out to the living room. I think I slept another half hour?

Work was pretty slow last night. We were supposed to have two deliveries. They never showed up. Like I said, three of us, no deliveries. I wasn’t feeling too great yesterday, so I talked to the co-workers and said if they didn’t mind, I’d leave around 7:30. I did most of the closing tasks for them, and took off at 7:30.

I came home, and made some dinner for myself, and we hunkered down to watch some TV. We’re just about all the way through the 4th season of Yellowstone, so we watched a couple of episodes. From there we watched some Who’s line, and had our evening snack. Then move on to the top paragraph.

Back to work this afternoon. Everyone’s working for the weekend. Only a couple more shifts, and weekend off. Happy Thursday y’all.

Thank god it’s Friyay. It’s a blustery cold day out there. I survived work and am back home, with Chaucer in between us. I’m tired, man. I was up early this morning, but managed to go back to sleep for about a half hour before the alarm went off. I…
