We could be like islands in the stream, that’s right

Shawshank, September 19, 2026

Bah gawd, I almost forgot to post today. That would’ve been a piss-off, because I’m over 2200 days in a row. So yeah, there would’ve been yelling and crying.

I was up wicked early for a rare opening shift Saturday morning. I get there after adding my phone to my parents’ truck. Yes I’m driving my parent’s truck, because diesel is wicked high up here – I only drive just over a half mile to work, and just over a half mile home again. So for the weekend, I’m driving a real truck. An F150 is a lot bigger than the Ranger.

Short story long, I get to work, and tackle the outside work first. My co-worker is a new guy that has opened once. So I get all the opening stuff finished and then I have to show him how to make the coffee. It’s all good. Thankfully, it’s a steady day, because my co-worker is “afraid” of the POS. He recently upgraded his phone and he can’t get it working properly. He upgraded an iPhone to iPhone.

Work is work, and actually the day passed really quickly. So I get home, and grab the Switch for myself, which lets Crystal play one of four video game systems.

I play until dinner time, and as I’m prepping the pizza for dinner, which, by the way, was not the dinner we were going to have…

I remember that I haven’t posted yet. Better fix that. Happy Saturday my friends!

Good chilly morning. Podrick was a good boy this morning, and to me, felt like he was sucking crystals fingers mere inches from my ear. It was loud. I rolled out of bed, and closed the door behind me. I opened the curtains and got the kittens breakfast ready. I…
