That’s when the DJ dropped my favorite tune Shawshank, March 19, 2023 Good morning my friends. The sun is shining, and it doesn’t feel that cold out. It looks like it could be a pretty nice day out there. Today is chore day. I guess we started that yesterday, as we cleaned up the living room, and moved some books around. Crystal made fun of me, because we moved my Twilight books to a shelf where I can’t see them now. I asked her how can I gaze upon these books whenever I want? Yep, she laughed and laughed about my quandary. They’re currently on a shelf hidden behind the light, but I have the paperbacks on the entertainment console. Yesterday was a lazy lazy day here after all the organization that we did in the living room. Crystal fired up BotW, and decided to completely jump into the end game, and decided on a sneaky yet somewhat full frontal assault on Castle Hyrule. Whereas when I played hours later, I didn’t do that. That damn castle scares the bejesus out of me. I did a couple cheap ass side quests that didn’t take me any closer to the castle than I had to. Scares me. Like I said, today is chore day. But coffee first. Let’s do this. But, Coffee first. Life blogbloggerchore daycoffeejournallazy Sundaymorningspersonal blogTinyTown
Life Have to catch an early train – got to be to work by nine August 30, 2022 Good morning! Hap hap happy Tuesday! I think I actually had a restful sleep last night! Oh and Pippin can be quiet when she comes to bed. I think I only heard her meow once to come into the bed and curled up quickly and went to sleep. Today, I’ll… Read More
Life Jesus was an architect previous to his career as a prophet April 18, 2021 Just like Crystal said it would happen, it happened. It’s snowed a little last night. Yesterday was the pick of the weekend with a high of 14. Today, the high is 2. I may be going over to Shady Acres early today. Apparently, my dads TV remote is broken, the… Read More
Life And we decided that one big pile is better than two little piles, and rather than bring that one up we decided to throw our’s down November 23, 2023 Happy Thanksgiving! It’s a massively dark start to turkey day here, and if I’m honest, cold. The coffee tastes good this morning. I’d probably have to say, it’s a damn fine cup of coffee. When we went out on Tuesday, we looked for a turkey breast and some stove-top. We… Read More
Hello, Sunday. It’s sunny and bright and cold again. The cats are taking a moment to recharge after the regular flurry of morning activities: coffees, cat food, bathroom routines, etc. I spent the 45 minutes before the alarm went off silently watching TikTok clips; I’m semi-awake by this point. The coffee keeps coming though, and that’s nice. (Thank you, Shawshank, for keeping the mug filled) We intended to enjoy a bit o’ sloth mode yesterday, but ended up doing things anyway. Shawshank put a load of sweaters in the wash. At one point, I suggested moving some books around on the bookshelves. I’ve wanted to move some of the living room shit for a few days. Last week, I noticed some of the bookshelves bowing under the weight of their contents. Additionally, some slightly top-heavy modular shelving was in danger of crashing into the big front window every time Pippin launched herself into the penultimate level. We rearranged the bookcase so its adjustable shelves weren’t filled with so many of the heavier, hardcover books. Most of the hardcovers were moved into some builtin shelves in the living room, which can handle their weight. Shawshank moved a vintage set of encyclopedias and one of my kettlebells into the lowest modular shelf to beef up the weight in the bottom. I removed some printed photos from their frames and replaced them with some of my paintings. As an added bonus, we got rid of some books. We filled one bag to donate and another for Shawshank‘s mother. I spent way too many hours playing BOTW yesterday. Shawshank handed me the controller at one point, and my last save found me just outside the castle. And I don’t know what possessed me to sneak in. Shawshank sat back and let me explore the place. I had a lot of fun, once I got over the initial terror of the unknown (and inside where there are no guardians to dodge). However, after several hours, the music was getting to both of us, and I handed off the controller for the evening. Today, we’re being a bit lazy. We shaved our heads and showered, I’m dressed and ready to start assembling my human suit. There’s a load of laundry started, and we’re going to Shady Acres for dinner. Reply
