Saturday night, dance, I like the way you move pretty baby

I slept like the dead last night. I don’t think I moved too much in the night, I’m a little stiff this morning. I think Podrick was mostly good this morning, only starting to play with a toy or chase his tail, or climbing the tapestry until it was just about time to get up.

The story is a little different for Crystal. She was up, and dealing with him since around 5 this morning. So I feel bad for her, not being about sleep, protecting me from being ripped out of sleep early. She’s the best. She protects me while I sleep.

We played video games for most of the day. I pushed myself to get back into Persona 5 on my phone. I got out of the palace that I was in, and explored where I could go in game. I did some basic side quests, and some cooking and gardening. I don’t think I even went back into the palace because, I’ve read there’s no time limit on completing the palaces anymore. Perfect, let’s explore.

After Persona, I switched to Balatro. And cue 3 hours of not even getting past the 5th or 6th round. So I switched to a completely different deck and just played around. After a couple of dinner, we watched Tuesday nights episode of NXT, I really started to take off. It was on white stake, which I had already completed, but it was a fun run. I made it to round 26 – the farthest I’ve ever gotten.

And now, a moment of zen

Fire all of your guns at once and explode into space

It’s been an evening, night and morning. Last night I was just high enough that I could hear every sound and object that Podrick was playing with. He got onto the Warhammer shelf, but only knocked down and was playing with just one figure. From there he just played with a couple of his own toys. In the morning, he was adjacent to me, chasing his tail. He’s tiny, but it feels like he’s shaking the whole bed.

But, he’s starting to get better. The mornings, he’s wired for a couple of hours but even that’s not lasting as long. Sometimes in the morning he’ll eat his breakfast right away. Sometimes like today, he’ll have a bite or two and then run like a crazy cat. He’s currently eating. I think that Pippin is on the table. She’s starting to get a little better too. She’s starting the chasey chasey game more, and is not really putting up with his shit. She’ll tackle him, jump to a higher elevation, and then when he’s looking for her, she’ll pounce again.

Work wasn’t too bad last night. It was steady for a while. It was a cooler evening, so I didn’t take off my sweatshirt. Of course, the AC had to be running the whole night. If there’s no snow on the ground, the AC must be on. Maybe it’s because I’ve never really had AC, but opening the windows would’ve been much nicer. But I just dressed for warmth, and the day went pretty good, until about 7ish.

Around 7, it got quiet. So we did part of our closing stuff. That last two hours were just slow. We sat outside, because, the slurpee machine was squeaking something awful. when it was time to start the actual closing, that’s when people started to arrive. At 8:58, we had two guys come in and say “boy are we glad we made it, we just got back into town”. We, the workers, were not impressed. But they mostly grabbed their stuff quickly. We finished closing, and were out of there.

Straightening the curves, yeah flattenin’ the hills

Podrick was a very good boy this morning, and let us (probably just me) sleep to our normal wake up time. Now, he’s annoying Pippin. So all is right in his little world. It’s a gray, chilly morning out there today. Hopefully, it warms up a little as the day goes on. It truly feels like it’s fall.

It was a very lazy day yesterday. I got a text from my mom saying that we could switch trucks as soon as I finished vacuuming the apartment. So that’s when we got up, and vacuumed, then Crystal wrapped part of the cat tree with sisal, and I went and switched out trucks, and stopped to get some egg noodles for the pork curry for dinner.

After dinner, we watched Raw. It was like a continuation of Evolution. It was great. The first three matches were women’s matches. It look I think, and hour, to have the first male wrestler come out to wrestle. Afterwards, we played some Balatro. Crystal on the Switch, and me on my phone. It was a really nice relaxing evening.

Back to work this afternoon. Let’s gooooo! But before all that going, there needs to be coffee. Let the coffee flow!

Here’s your ticket, pack your bags time for jumpin’ overboard

Good morning everyone. Podrick was so excited for the day, he was up wicked early. Then he wanted is to get up. I finally understand how my parents felt on Christmas Day, when I’d burst into their room at some ungodly hour. Point taken, fam. No cap.

Before we went over to Shady Acres, I made a lovely brunch for us. I did the laundry the day before in an effort to stay awake, so it was a nice relaxing day here. I played some Balatro on the new deck I unlocked on the white stakes. I didn’t unlock a new deck, but it was a fun run for sure. I moved back to a different deck to try black stakes. I got introduced to forever jokers. The black stakes are still a work in progress.

I took some allergy pills, because I was tasked to mow the back 40 for my parents. I reminded my mom that I was going to be mowing, my dad took it upon himself to push out the ride-on mower and get the battery charged. It’s been a while since I mowed last, and about 2 weeks after when I wanted to mow. The grass was about 4ish feet tall. I did countless circles. When the grass was gone, I grabbed the weed whacker and did the edges.

After we got back from Shady Acres, we fed the kittens, and then settled down to watch WWE Evolution – the all women’s pay-per-view. Let me tell you that it really surpassed the men’s matches. Very few mistakes or gaffs. They kicked some serious ass. And there were more than a few total surprises. I’m sure there will be some fallout on Raw tonight.

My sticky paws were in to making straws out of big fat Slurpee treats

It’s bright and sunny out there, so while Pippin was eating her breakfast, and in between making sure Podrick wouldn’t jump up onto the table to steal her food, I opened the back door, and then the front door. Then back to guard duty. Crystal took the Rick of Pods into the bathroom while Pippin finished her breakfast.

Work yesterday morning was slow as balls, but surprisingly, the morning went by really quick. Before we knew it, the next shift was there and ready to work. Woohoo, time to go! I stop and get the mail, and head back to The Flat. Podrick, inspired me to do the dishes, and clean up some of his toys while I watched the Great American Bash on Netflix. Crystal and I made fun of the wrestlers,

I cooked burgers and tots for dinner. And discovered that there is a way to watch Saturday Nights Main Event. It’s on NBC in the states, but the WWE puts it on YouTube for the rest of us heathens. It was pretty good minus the fact that there’s a commercial every couple of minutes – it’s usually about a 3-4 minute commercial. In the middle of wrestling matches. Crazy.

We’ll be heading to shady Acres this afternoon. I’ll be popping some allergy pills, and hopefully getting the riding lawnmower started, and then I’ll be mowing the back 40 for my parents. It’s past due for its two mowings a summer. In my defense, it has been a rainy summer so far.

Then, guess what? More wrestling! I’m pretty sure The Beautiful One will be getting tired of wrestling, but this should be a pretty good PPV – it’s an all women’s show! Evolution 2 will be on tonight. So we’ll start watching that a little late, cause we’ll probably be eating at the time.

Psst … Raw is tomorrow too. lol
