Hangin’ out the passenger side of his best friend’s ride

Extreme cold. Yep that’s the truth. It’s currently -29c and -38c with the wind. Oh, and we’re expecting more snow sometime today. Fun.

I slept almost all the way through the night. Only getting up once to go to the the bathroom. I think I was cold in the night as I tried to drag 60lbs worth of weighted blankets around. The bed look like a war zone! I’ll have to fix that tonight.

I woke up this morning believing that it’s Friday. I have to force myself to drop that idea, or I’m going to be very disappointed tomorrow morning.

Oh, and congrats to the Canadian Woman’s hockey team that defeated the Americans at the Olympics. Woohoo!

When you call my name it’s like a little prayer

I am the smartest man alive.

I am the stupidest man alive.

Yesterday I got both the COVID booster, and the flu shot. Two shots two different arms.

Well last night was the night that I couldn’t get get comfortable. I tossed and turned. Every time I did, I woke up. One, three, five, and 6:50 am. At three and five I woke up with my knee locked.

Good times.

But I have coffee and it’s Wednesday. Only a couple more days of work, then I’ll be off for the weekend.

But right now, happy Wednesday!

A southern man don’t need him around anyhow

Yup, if you’re looking at the photo above, you know what that means, I got a new coffee maker. You see when the great crystal was up here she figured out how to do the timer. So I’d wake up to a pot of coffee, because it would turn on 15 minutes before the alarm went off.

Yesterday, it never turned on.

I quickly adjusted, and used my French press.

Long story short (too late), I got a new coffee maker, at a crazy price. Happiness ensued.

Yay.

Back to work today. Happy Tuesday everyone.

Well, I’ve been down so very damn long that it looks like up to me

Good morning happy Monday. The monday curse strikes again. This time – my coffee pot. It died sometime in the night. The lights still work, but the element or the actual coffee working mechanism doesn’t anymore. The coffee maker is probably 25-30 years old.

Thankfully, I have a French press to get a coffee into me. After 8, I can walk up to the local hardware store, and I should be able to buy a new one. Overpriced, yes. But I’ll have a new coffee maker without having to wait a week before going into a slightly bigger town to buy one.

So I got one cup of French press. I’ll live, and I’ll make some more shortly after the hardware store is open.

Happy Monday.

‘Cause there’s something in a Sunday makes a body feel alone

With the exception of a time check at about 5, I slept through the night. A little warm, but sleeping brain doesn’t think to turn down the heated mattress pad.

It’s the day of the big game. For the first time in a long time, I don’t know who’s playing. I won’t be able to watch it today. I won’t be having appetizers for dinner. About a half hour after kick off, I’ll be in The Flat by myself, probably watching Critical Role.

I usually didn’t pay too much attention, unless the Patriots were playing. I was there for the commercials. Up north of the wall, I haven’t even heard any mention of the game, and only one mention of a Super Bowl commercial.

But right now, it’s cold, windy, and dark out. I have some coffee, some tears in my eyes over a stupid Sports Ball game.

It maybe Super Bowl Sunday, but it’s also chores day here, so that’ll keep me busy for about twenty minutes.

So I’ll pose this question to you:

ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL?!
