If you can’t take the heat, get your ass out the kitchen. We on a mission

Well howdy, friends. It’s a slightly bright, gray day out there. Still windy out. I think we have a couple of more windy days.

BREAKING NEWS: Pippin snuck into bed this morning, and curled up and snuggled me. If the alarm had gone off this morning, that wouldn’t have happened. We had shut our alarms off last night, in an effort to sleep in. I opened my eyes slightly before 7am. Pippin popped up shortly after that. So we snuggled until Chaucer sat up and stared at her.

Yesterday we had plans to go out to the farm. Mom had texted me and said to call dad before going out there. So that’s what I did. He said we probably shouldn’t come out because one of the wheels fell off one of the combines, and he’d be repairing that. We said no problems and quickly made other plans.

When I looked up and the living room window was covered in rain, so we just decided to stay in and snuggle on the couch. Probably an hour into that, my phone rings. It’s my dad asking in his own special way if we wanted to drive to get parts. We said sure, and hopped into the Hot Mess Express, and drove to SlightlyBiggerTown. From there it was out to the farm. I made it there without GPS. Not too shabby!

I don’t know what the plan is today. I’m just waiting for pay day on Friday. Maybe I’ll walk over to the museum, and give them a call for a special walk through of it, since they closed for the season in August.

But for now, just curled up on the couch, consuming some wonderful Floridian coffee. Happy Wednesday!!

If you wanna see Heaven, brother, here’s your chance

Red sky at night, sailors delight. Red sky in morning, sailors take warning. Lucky thing we’re land locked. No sailors here.

Good morning! Happy Tuesday! It’s warm, but windy out there. And it’s forecasted to be the warmest day here until next Thursday. Gotta love the flat land.

Coffee has been brewed and we’re consuming it. It’s farm day today. It was supposed to be yesterday, but it was Thanksgiving. We celebrate it on Sunday. But yesterday was the holiday, and the kids were home from school. So we’ll be heading out this morning.

The cats have gotten so much better with each other. They can now not only be in the same room, they can be only a few feet away from each other, and not hiss or growl. I think I only heard one or two hisses out of them yesterday.

We didn’t do too much yesterday. We watched The Batman, and Crystal enjoyed it. Then we just watched Netflix, and Amazon Prime for the rest of the day. I cooked brunch for us for lunch, which was good.

So let’s raise our mugs up in the air and salute each other. A coffee cup salute, if you will. Happy Tuesday!

When the sun’s comin’ up I got cakes on the griddle

Good morning all my city folk friends. It’s a bright and crisp day out here in the prairies. We’re up, and I’m dressed, Crystal is wearing her rammy jammies. Coffee is brewing, and we’re prepping to go out to the farm.

Crystal has been promised that she’ll be able to drive a tractor today. I’m very excited for her. I think she’ll have a lot of fun today.

But before we do any of that, we have to wake up and to our regular morning routines. It’s not bad. I’ll walk up to shady acres to grab the truck. When I’m finished with this I have to text my mom for a zip lock back of stuffing for sandwiches. I forgot to grab some last night.

And then tomorrow, we can sleep in!

But let’s get through today, and our pot of coffee. We’ll figure out tomorrow, we’ll, tomorrow I think.

Happy Monday!!!!

That clappin’s messing my head up, man I appreciate it

Good morning everyone. We slept in here at the Flat. Yes indeed, until 7:10 am! That’s pretty crazy, huh?

Well we have a busy day here today. I have my chores, laundry. And we’re also making some cornbread stuffing for dinner tonight. You read that right, it’s Thanksgiving here in TinyTown.

Yesterday was a pretty busy day as days go over at the store. We actually had people come in, and wait for it, actually buy stuff. Pretty amazing. Maybe word is getting out about our Big Sale. But as of 2 pm yesterday, I’m officially on vacation.

But before all the chores can start, I have to fuel my body with covfefe. And the covfefe is good this morning.

Where the grass is green and the girls are pretty

Good morning party people. I have the full outbreak monkey sickness. I really should take something for the pounding headache that’s starting.

It looks like it might be a slightly warmish day out there. Gray, but warmish.

Coffee.

All that stands before me and my vacation is a 4 hour shift. It shouldn’t be too bad out there. Again, it’ll go one of two ways: busier that shiznit, or dead to the world.

Ok, time to take some Advil. Happy Saturday y’all!
