And they rise from the flames for the battles ahead

*yawn* Good morning my friends. And welcome to another week. It’s still dark outside. But it doesn’t feel too cold out there. Just still, and quiet out there.

Yep, the weather is cool, but thankfully the coffee is hot, and tasty. Chaucer is staring at me. I think he’ll try and get on my lap in a minute or two.

Sunday was good. I got all the chores completed, as per usual. It was a nice day of doing pretty much nothing. We went to my parents for dinner, because it was Sunday. We had a nice dinner of a roast pork. I had texted a link to an Amazon page for a ceramic Christmas tree. Mom said why don’t you look downstairs, I know I have one. So Crystal and I went downstairs and stared at the wall of boxes.

I decided to look in the closet where mom keeps all her Christmas decorations, and randomly grabbed a box. I commented to Crystal, that it would be funny if the first box I opened hat the tree in it. As luck would have it, I was right. We found it in record time!

Isn’t it cute?!

So we now have a tree! We can’t have a regular tree, because 1. There’s no room for a tree. Even a small one. And 2. There’s a tiny kitten named Pippin. She would probably destroy a tree.

We have nothing planned for today, except around two when Critical Role drops. This time it’s part one of The Mighty Nein! I am so freaking excited for this and the next episode. You see Campaign 2 is the only one that I’ve seen all the way through.

I. Cannot. Wait.

And though you’re dead and gone, believe me your memory will carry on

Good Sunday morning everyone. Yep, it’s oh dark thirty, but from what Crystal says, the sun rise looks pretty neat this morning. I’d get up and look, but I have a very snuggly kitten on my lap. She jumped up first thing.

I slept like the dead last night. I snuggled and was snuggled. Then I was a little warm, and started to spin a little. Finally I found a little bit of comfort. Then the alarm went off. I must have been laying on my right arm, because it was tingly when I was doing my morning routine in the bathroom.

Work was slow yesterday, but that’s to be expected lately. That’s ok. I got some stuff done at work. I also played some solitaire. After work though, I walked back to the Flat, and watched Crystal play some Subnautica, then we bundled up and went to the town sponsored flea market.

Nothing really jumped out at me, but Crystal got a mason jar of goodness, but she didn’t see anything that she really needed to have, so we popped over to the little grocery store, grabbed some stuff and we headed back to the flat.

Crystal made an amazing dinner – Japanese curry with rice. We settled down and watched some great Netflix.

The coffee is really good this morning. It’s chore day today, which will be started shortly. I needs more coffee. Happy Sunday!

Everyone’s awake here, Pippin is trying to start shit with Chaucer. I don’t think he wants to play first thing in the morning. I’ve been up for about a half hour. I was impressed on how long it took to get from 6:30 to 7, when the alarm went off. I think it was a good sleep.

Work went well, just a little slow. But that’s how it is sometimes. When I got home, we fed the cats, then hopped in to the Hot Mess Express and headed over to the restaurant, where once again, we had a great dinner with a tonne of fries.

After dinner, we came back to the Flat, and while Crystal finished up a little Subnautica, I watched funny YouTube videos. Then we watched the second episode of 1899. That is a mind fuck of a TV show. I was happy to be slightly confused throughout the show, it was the last 15 seconds that really screwed me up. I can’t wait for the next episode to get even more confused!

After that, we watched another episode of Law & Order. Love that show. Then two episodes of Letterkenny. As soon as my head hit the pillow, I was out like a light.

And now, here we are. Saturday. All that stands between me and the weekend is a four hour shift. Then we’re doing something out of the ordinary – the town sponsored flea market at town hall. That should be fun.

Let’s get going!

* That my friends, is the soundtrack of Crystal’s mind. I asked her for a song for the lyrics for a title to this post. Then she giggled. A lot.

I said ooh, baby, ooh, said ooh

It’s Friyay! We’ve made it! The celebration coffee is brewing happily away in the kitchen, and the kittens are stalking around. Pippin is in the window, and Chaucer is around somewhere.

So a typical morning at The Flat.

Yesterday NewNewGirl was in. But like Tuesday, and Wednesday, I’ll be alone today. That’s ok, I don’t mind working alone. It’s all good. Today is also my 2 year anniversary. Yay two years! Some days, it feels a lot longer.

And tonight is date night! My girl, a couple burgers, and about 5lbs of fries between us. It’ll be a good date night.

We started to watch 1899 last night. It’s from the creators of Dark. Let me tell you, the first episode is very good. I can’t give anything away, because I have no idea what’s going on yet!

But I’m gonna drink some coffee, and wake up. Happy Friyay!

I bet she’s never had a backstreet guy

Good morning! Hap hap happy Thursday! It’s dark, breezy and cold. No snow though, I think we sent all of our snow down to Buffalo. They’re expected to get three or four feet by the end of Saturday.

Since I put the bricks in front of the laundry doors, Pippin has been pissed that she can’t get in. She lays on her back, and tries to move them. So far, she’s been unsuccessful. Which means, that I can sleep through the night.

Which I think I did last night. I remember rolling over and looking at the clock, once. I don’t remember what time it was though. Now we just have to figure why Crystal is waking up early.

Coffee has been brewed, Crystal is reading me an article about Hershel Walker talking about werewolves and vampires at a rally. It’s pure insanity that this guy made it to a run-off election. They’re all cray-cray. All of them.

Let’s all have a really good Thursday!
