Armed with will and determination, and grace, too

Welp, it’s morning again. I’ve been up on and off since around 4 this morning. Between Pippin, unruly sheets, and losing the power of breathing through one’s nose, it was a tossy turny morning.

Chaucer is already crawling up on to my lap. Pippin is off doing Pippin things, and I am currently trying to focus my eyes to type this up. It’s a kinda gray morning out there. A little cool, but still a nice morning so far.

Yesterday was a pretty busy morning at work. I was expecting to finish up inventory. I had tasked NewNewGirl to do some addition on the last 4 sections. I was expecting to finish up, but she must have been busy – so I had to finish all of them. Not a problem! I took care of it in a couple of hours.

Then I was off. My dad had asked the day before if I could help him lift the transmission from the ground into his truck. So when I got home I texted mom to say I could help anytime. She said that it was already done. My dad got a friend with a forklift to help move it.

Bonus!

Ok, coffee time. It’s hump day. Getting closer to the weekend. This is my last Saturday off. Then I’m covering vacations, so I’ll be there on Saturdays for the next three weeks. Fun times!

Good grey morning, my friends. It’s Mon… Tuesday morning here in TinyTown. It was a little chilly out there this morning. I’ll be putting on a hoodie when I leave for work.

Crystal was out pretty quickly last night, but told me her eye mask died in the night, so she was awake early this morning. She was already out when I asked her if she wanted to snuggle me. She didn’t reply, so I just rolled over. That’s when I fell asleep.

Yesterday was a nice, mostly lazy day. We got up, did our morning things. Once we were ready we took off to SlightlyBiggerTown to grab a couple of things. We stopped at the second hand store, where Crystal found a couple of more sheet sets.

Lunch time! I had a burger, and Crystal had a buffalo chicken wrap. Both were very good. Then we took off back home. Some of the crops are starting to bloom, I guess would be the correct word. There’s seas of yellow out there, like someone just painted it in to the landscape.

I had to help my dad prep the new camper so he can drop the transmission out of it, so it can be fixed. After that, back home to rest and relax again.

But I needs some coffee to wake up. Hap hap happy Tuesday all. Let’s kick today in the nuts!

Sometimes I wonder what I’m gonna do ‘cause there ain’t no cure for the summertime blues

Awake! It’s bright and sunny here. The kitties are probably by now, both up on the back door table, enjoying the sun streaming in. It looks like it’s gonna be a sunny, warm day out there.

Good morning my friends, welcome to Monday morning. One more nice day off, and then it’s back to work tomorrow morning. It’ll be a good day, we’ll be heading to a different SlightlyBiggerTown this morning, just for a quick pop in to get some makeup stuffs for Crystal, and to check out a sewing place, so she can look at some really neat old patterns. It’ll be a fun afternoon

Yesterday was a nice day. Chores were completed, and then it was time for brunch. Next week, I’ll have to make more waffles for the waffle gremlin, but that’s always fun. I get to make a mess, then clean it up. And Crystal will have enough waffles for a few weeks.

So let’s get the day started! Happy Monday my friends! Stay safe out there. Don’t take any wooden nickels.

Leanin to the side but you can’t speed through two miles an hour so everybody sees you

Good sunny morning my friends! The sun is out, and the sun is warm this morning. It’s going to be a nice day out there. I think Chaucer snuggled with us – well, Crystal actually. I don’t know if Pippin snuggled, she was on the couch this morning when I climbed/rolled out of bed.

The coffee has been brewed, and is being consumed. It’s double duty today – chore day, and we’re having brunch today instead of tomorrow. Tomorrow we’ll be heading out to SlightlyBiggerTown for a couple of things. It’ll just be too hectic to have brunch tomorrow and go out. It’s not a big deal, I used to do the chores, and have bunch. I changed it to Monday to kind of extend the weekend.

Yesterday, to give Crystal a shirt break from her sweatshop we walked the block and a half to the local small town museum. It’s been a couple of years since I’ve been to visit, and the first time for Crystal. It’s not a big museum, it took us about an hour and half to move our way through it. they have so much packed into such a small building.

We had a lot of fun in there. I found a picture of a friend, so I had to take a picture. I’ll pass that around work, and I’ll have to ask said person why he shaved off his moustache.

For dinner, I made wings for me and yummy chicken sandwiches for Crystal. We were both stuffed when we finished.

But yeah, to day is chore day. Yay chores! But before that can happen, it’s confeve time. Happy Sunday funday!

Slam it to the left if you’re havin’ a good time

Holy shitballs, it’s Saturday! Chaucer is already up on my lap. He snuggled Crystal all night, I think. He was in the same place as he was when we went to sleep. He’s a good boy. Pippin, slept out on the couch.

Yesterday was a long day at work. Around 10:30ish, something happened to the internet tubes. They just stopped working. Internet, and cell phone service came to a stand still. You’d see three things if you looked at your phone – no signal at all. 1 or 2 bars of 3G, or 1 tiny bar of LTE. That continued on for about 4 hours, until it just magically turned back on. From there it was a rush to get as much work done as possible in case that the internet died. NewNewGirl was just about to leave for the day when it came back on. All the work she had to do was on the computer for clients, so she was happy when it came back on, so she could actually get something done.

BossLady had a doctors appointment a couple hours away, so she worked from home in the morning but told NewNewGirl that she’d be in right after. NNG said that she suspected that BL would be back around two. I told her that is logistically impossible due to the time of her appointment. She thought about that and said she figures BL would be back around 3 or 3:30. I was unimpressed with that theory, and gave my theory.

I figured that she’d be back in the office about 4:40. I was wicked close! BossLady walked in at 4:45. We loaded a chair into her car, and she unloaded a box of sheets for Crystal. Just telling me that they would probably need to be washed. Crystal got to look at them after dinner, and they’re all piled on the hamper to be washed. I’m thinking I might wash them today for her.

So I skedaddled right at 5, because it was date night last night – with a twist. Crystal was having a mini pop up shop at the diner. The owner of the diner, and one of the waitresses wanted to see more of Crystal’s homemade pants. When I got home, the kitties were fed, and there were to shopping bags stuffed full of pants.
