I saw the constellations reveal themselves one star at a time

I know in a couple of weeks I’ll probably be saying that I’m lonely, but right now, I kinda wish I was in the flat. I don’t know whether my gramma is sneezing or coughing. It’s loud. My mom is coughing, and loud talking to the animals. I’m stuck in the middle of all this.

I’d go into my room, but my mom would come in and ask if everything is ok. Everything is fine, but I just left work, where there’s the radio playing, the bell dinging, and talking.

It’s ok, but for the love of god, can I just get a little bit of quiet?

But I digress. I’m off for the next two days. Might be going to BiggerTown tomorrow, I don’t know. I guess I’ll find out tomorrow! Hahaha

Lockup Library – retail therapy edition

Yesterday, I had a lot nervous energy. We were closed, so I told NewGirl I was going for a walk.

And walk I did.

Right to the second hand store that just opened again. After a twenty minute wait, I went right the the book section. Within seconds, I had a couple of books. The Twilight actually has the Life and Death novel where it’s gender changed. New Moon – just because. And the 50 Shades? Why not? Might as well have the crappy fanfic of the Saga.

Don’t you judge me… 💀

I’ll admit, I felt better afterwards. I really did. And the best thing, all for $5

They’re already in the bookcase.

Question: should I take my grammas Louis L’Amour books? She’s offered them for me to read. Who knows, maybe I’ll be in the mood for a good western novel. They used to be my grandfathers.

Until next time, book nerds!

To the one I’ve sinned against
because he’s all I ever knew of love

It’s been a busy day here at Shady Acres. I was up at my normal time, just a little before, I had a good morning text from Crystal. I had a couple of cups of coffee, peed a lot, then I was off to SlightlyBiggerTown.

I actually made a list of stuff I needed, and stuck to the list! More importantly, I remembered I had a list! I got some more shelving, because the Tv was on the top shelf, put on an angle with a book. I was afraid that it was going to fall down if a cat jumped up on the shelves.

Now the TV is level and not up so high. If you look close, there’s a grad picture of me hanging up on the wall.

While I was in SlightlyBiggerTown, I picked my mom up a cane. She has really bad arthritis in one of her knees. Hopefully it’ll help out.

Now I can sit and enjoy what’s left of my day off.

Something Different – Downton Abbey

Hey book nerds! I’ll be honest, right off the bat. I haven’t read a page this week, and instead of fluffing up a Book Club post, I figured I’d just tell you about the show I’ve been watching instead.

I am truly loving Plain Bad Heroines. I really am, but I’ve gotten in the groove of after supper, just watching an episode of Downton Abbey. It relaxes me to be thrust into 1920s high society. And it’s just enough time for an episode (not the season premieres or the finales, but the 2 or 3 regular episodes) to get a spoon or two back for the day, then I call the Beautiful One. The cares of the day fade away.

My ringtone is the theme song.

I love this show. I don’t know why. I’m very happy that I was able to finally find it digitally. I can’t even remember how I found the CBC Gem app, but I’m so happy I did. It is laughable that if I watch an episode on my phone, I get commercials. If I cast it, I don’t. Well that’s not true, one episode I got a total of 4 commercials, and the episode I watched last night, I got a random Downy commercial.

I just started season 3. (Again, I’ve seen the whole series twice now, this is my third viewing of it.) It’s something I look forward to each night. it’s a nice day to just wind down. And I can just lay there. Next week, I’m thinking that I’ll watch an episode one night, read the next. That way I get the best of both. I have missed reading this last week, but I’ll get back into it!

So yeah, that’s how I spent the last week. No complaints. Gosh, it’s nice to talk about my likes. I tried at work when they asked what I did the night before, and they looked at me like I had 3 heads when I said I watched Downton. So I’ve learned just just say I read it watched TV.

It’s easier that way!

Until next time, book nerds!
