Movie review: RRR

So last night, I took the chance on turning on a movie, that we only watched the trailer to on Netflix. It was fantastical – a man running from a tiger for around a minute. I was kind of hooked. So yesterday, just for the fun of it, half expecting to shut it off minutes in, we sat down to watch RRR.

What a good movie. Don’t let the three hour run time daunt you. It’s a cinematic masterpiece. But don’t call it a Bollywood film. According to the director, it’s a Telugu film.

To me, it’s an action/adventure movie. It’s a buddy film. If it was an American film, it would probably be a buddy-cop film. But thankfully it’s not an American movie. I don’t think an American film studio could make an epic movie like this, and I hope that they never try.

From the slowmo action shots to the 47 minute dance off, it’s exactly what we needed to see last night. This was our first Indian movie that we’ve watched (except the snippets of Indian movies playing at India Restaurant).

So give this movie a chance. Open up your Netflix, and turn it on. You won’t be disappointed.

My only thought is our first Indian movie has set the bar very high. We’re worried that all the other movies will fail to hold a candle to watch we just watched.

Do you guys have any suggestions for other movies to check out?

We had the best time at your party, the wife and I thank you very much

Good morning everyone. Hap hap happy Sunday! I was up very quickly around 5:30, but fell asleep again, until the alarm went off at 7. I feel like I got to sleep in.

So we’re up now, I have a kitten on my lap, and Chaucer is on his cube and is dozing. It rained a little last night, and there’s a thin film of ice over everything. The little deck is totally slippery, so we’ll have to be careful, if it doesn’t melt.

Today is chore day, I should be starting that soon. And I will, I just want some coffee first. But I’ll get in the chores shortly. I have to prep for toaster this afternoon as well.

Happy Sunday everyone! Kick back and relax today!

You’re so fine, I want you mine, you’re so delicious

Good morning everyone! We were up a little early here at the flat. So the plan is, after brunch, we’ll try and take a little nap. Naps are good.

It’s gonna be a long week here. I’ve gotten used to only working 3 days for a couple of weeks. This week, I’ll be working 5 days. I know, I know – poor baby you’re working a full work week. I’ll just have to get used to it again.

Crystal was up earlier than me today, so when I rolled out of bed, the coffee was already started. Pippin was snuggling as I woke up. So I played the chasey chasey game for a minute or two, then I got up. Both kitties are on the couch right now. Pippin on my lap, and Chaucer in between us.

I started to play Assassins Creed III. I barely made it out of the tutorial area, and I’m stumbling through the main game now. It’s very fun. I haven’t played a game like this for a long time. I played for a couple of hours before we left for Shady Acres for dinner. I might play a little bit today.

When we were over at Shady Acres, Crystal got my dad to fire up the table saw, and he cut a My Little Pony in half. Crystal has an idea for book ends. I’m excited to see how it ends up!

But for now, we have the news on, and Crystal is reading me fun and interesting articles that she finds online. It’s a good morning. Pull up a cup of coffee and have a good morning everyone!

Riding out on a horse in a star-spangled rodeo

Happy Sunday! It’s a new day out there, I’m told. It doesn’t feel too cold out there, and since it was so warm yesterday, it feels like the snow banks are a little smaller this morning. They might be, but probably not. Just a trick of the eyes, I think.

I woke up once in the night. I was only awake long enough to see what the time was – 5:30. Then I rolled over, and went back to sleep. Out like a light. Then the alarm went off. That’s pretty much the best sleep that I’ve had in a while.

Pippin just jumped up on to my lap, and is snuggling in. Chaucer is wondering around. He just got sick in the litter box. I have to scoop soon anyways. But it was less for me to clean up!

It was a perfect lazy day yesterday. I went out for dinner and came back. We had a really good fish and chips dinner with some mozzarella sticks, and some coconut shramp. It was really good.

Not too much on deck, just the usual Sunday chores. Get some! Oh, and also coffee!

So if I gotta die I’m gonna listen to my body tonight, yeah

Good morning, happy New Year, my friends. I hope the new year will be 100s of times better than 2022. Now you just have to write 2023 when you’re dating stuff. Don’t worry, by June, you should be in the habit of doing that. Until then just keep trying.

We actually made it to midnight, and this totally counts. It was 11:45, and Crystal said let’s just go to be now. By the time we’re finished in the bathroom, and are in bed, it’ll be after midnight.

Damn, she’s smart. It was pretty much perfect timing. We kissed and got comfortable, it was midnight. The start of a new year. And now, here we are.

2023.

We didn’t really party like it was 1999. We got up. Watched some Dateline, and drove to SlightlyBiggerTown for groceries and other needed items. We got a bunch of appetizers for dinner. Which were really good and filling. We got tempura coated chicken chunks, coconut covered shramp, and mozzarella sticks.

We watched Bullet Train. What a good movie. Great action, mystery, comedy, with an awesome cast. I won’t go too far into it. I just don’t want to spoil it. If you’re in Canada, and have Amazon Prime, definitely check it out. After that, we switched over to Netflix, to finish The Witcher: Blood Origin. It was pretty good, but it didn’t really need to have the Witcher attached to it. It was a perfectly good fantasy that didn’t have to be part of the Witcher universe.

Today is Sunday. Chore day. So shortly I’ll be getting ready to do laundry. Heck yeah laundry! Heck yeah 2023! Heck yeah new year new me!
