And the beer I had for breakfast wasn’t bad so I had one more for dessert

*yawn*

Good morning my friends. If I said it was a bright and sunny day out there, I’d be lying. It’s gray, but the wind has died down a bit. It’s supposed to be windy and gusty tomorrow.

But we’ll deal with that tomorrow.

Today isn’t the day that we have to worry about. Today is the day that the chores get done. But what about yesterday, Shawshank? What did you do yesterday? You always recap the day before.

Fine, you silly people. Yesterday wasn’t too bad. It was a great relaxing day. But before the relaxing could start, there had to be some work. Around 11 my dad showed up to look at the Hot Mess Express. He determined that the alternator was still good and doing its job, so we removed the battery and drove it down the street and replaced it.

Within 10ish minutes, the Hot Mess lives again! Woohoo! A new tiny little batter is in the engine compartment. I was asked to let it run for a little bit, so I drove to the gas station, filled it up, grabbed a couple of items, and then it was off to the grocery store to get dinner.

With that grabbed, back home!

Crystal was already streaming Skyrim. So I hopped on to moderate (terribly, of course), and laugh at the foot people simply begging for “soles”. They’re so funny. As the young kids say they have no chill. It’s always amusing.

At the tail end of the stream, I was already making dinner, so when that was ready, Crystal shut off the stream and we feasted. We snuggled in the couch and watched The Haunting of Bly Manor on Netflix. It’s pretty good. VERY creepy. I like it so far.

And now, here we are. sunday Sunday SUNDAY. Yeppers, let’s get the day started. Happy chore day y’all 🙂

He lives on my block and he drives an IROC

It’s a gray morning this morning. I slept ok. I was today turny. Pippin at one point wanted to snuggle, but couldn’t commit to actually coming over to snuggle, so she walked away. I think it was around six, when I heard a weird sound coming from the bathroom. She was behind the door, playing with the lid from one of Crystal’s razors. I grabbed that and tossed it in the trash. Did my business, and crawled back into bed.

I just couldn’t get comfortable. I was too warm, then too chilly. I finally fell back to sleep, only to have the alarm go off, what felt like 30 seconds later. We’re both up now. When I got up, my mom had texted me fifteen minutes earlier, cancelling dinner for tonight, as she had in her words, a wicked migraine. I wished her well, and now my mind is trying to figure out something for dinner.

Thankfully, we’ll be headed out in a few hours for groceries over in SlightlyBiggerTown. I just checked the hours, and we’ll be heading out to arrive when they open at 11. That’ll give me sometime to write up a list for us.

But for right now, I have a snuggly Chaucer, Pippin is snacking. It’s going to be a nice day. Viva la Sunday!

I get a little bit restless and I dream of something wild

Yep, it’s Sunday. And the weather has changed yet again. I’m all stuffed up, and when the alarm went off, I was in the middle of a nightmare. A tame nightmare, but a nightmare nonetheless.

I can’t remember too much of it. Me and Crystal, and my parents were in the halls of a court room, just waiting for the time to come to take me away. I was freaking out, but Crystal and my parents were eerily calm. It was storming out, and the last thing I remember before the alarm went off was saying that if they don’t come for me before 5pm, I could just leave, and they wouldn’t put me in the chair, or however they do death sentences. My parents said that we couldn’t leave because it was storming out, and the ferry wasn’t running in the storm. It was so strange. I didn’t know what was going on. So I was tosy turny, not because of the dream, but because I couldn’t really breathe through my nose.

Mouth breather all the way, I guess.

So I’m awake now. And have a Chaucer on my lap. Pippin tried to come into the bed this morning. I made room for her, and it seemed like she was gonna snuggle in, but then something else caught her attention, and she ran out of the room.

Yesterday was a nice and relaxing day. We got up and did our usual morning tasks and when those were done – we got dressed. After that, we made our way to SlightlyBiggerTown to grab a couple of items that we missed last week, hit up the drug store, and grabbed some lunch at Subway. They’ve gotten better. Well mostly better, it felt a little yesterday, like my bread was a little stale, but other than that, it was very good.

After lunch, we fired up the Switch, and I played No Man’s Sky for a little bit while Crystal did her nails. After a while, I turned on Skyrim and we set up the camera so Crystal could go live. And live we went. She got to kick some ass in the world, and chatted with some people that came in to chat. It was a fun afternoon.

Today is a new day, and it’s chore day! We’ll get them started in a while. Happy Sunday, have an extra large coffee.

The moment I wake up before I put on my makeup

I’m told that it’s Sunday this morning. The sun is slowly coming up. I remember just a couple of months ago, the sun would already be up. Now, it’s slowly rising as we’re slowly rising. It looks like it’ll be a nice day out. A nice day to stay in and play video games.

Yesterday after going out to gather needed supplies, and after lunch, I settled Crystal down to play some Skyrim live on TikTok. She played for a few hours, and raised $16 towards a new game. She smashed all the thirsty dudes begging for feet. She handled it superbly, and always left them begging for more.

Then I purchased No Man’s Sky. I managed to play about 2 hours of it. And if I don’t play it again today, I’ll play it tomorrow. What a neat game. I liked it right off the bat. Who knew that I’d be so picky when it came to video games. I haven’t stopped playing TotK, I’m just taking a break. I have one more temple to do, then I’m end game. I really have no interest in finishing the game mind you.

Mmm coffee. I also have Chaucer on my lap, sitting as proud as punch. He’s a good guy. He’s just snuggly in the morning. I can’t fault him for that, this morning, I feel pretty snuggly as well.

This afternoon, we’ll head over to Shady Acres for Thanksgiving dinner. North of the wall, it’s, as we figured out yesterday, Jiffy corn bread mix is hard to find. Our little grocery store doesn’t carry it. So sadly, Crystal doesn’t have her cornbread stuffing for tonight. I’ll have to look on Amazon to see if they have it for a reasonable price.

Wow, I’m on paragraph 6. Who’d have thought that I had 6 paragraphs in me first thing in the morning? No plans for today – just chores, and maybe Crystal will try No Man’s Sky. I’ll watch her and see what she does differently. Maybe I’ll start the game over again, and maybe I’ll just exploit all the resources on the planet I’m on. Maybe I’ll go all America on the surface and exploit all that I can.

‘Murika!

I saw Satan laughing with delight

Good froggy morning. Yep, again it’s a little froggy out there. And it feels unusually warm out there for how it looks. It’s another Sunday here in TinyTown. The quick short shift passed by as quickly as it could’ve. I did some cleaning, and a little organizing. I passed on what I did to BossLady, and started my weekend.

When I got home, Crystal was playing Hades. I had some grapes for lunch, and I watched her play as I scrolled through YouTube shorts. It was a really nice afternoon. Eventually, I was passed the controller, and I could wander around Hyrule for a couple of hours. It was really nice.

Crystal made an awesome dinner of rice and chicken fajitas. Oh it was very good. I really enjoyed it very much. I think this was the first time at least in the house, put rice in my fajitas. So freakin good!!

I went full on nerd for an hour and a half after dinner. I went and put on Star Trek: First Contact. I did notice that everyone looked a little young. I thought the movie was released in the early 2000s. But no, it was released in the late 1900s. Wow, do I feel old.

Chore day today. But I need more coffee before that happens. Let’s get caffeinated!
