And I’m a gentleman so without a pause I brought her a case of Claws

I think the wind has finally died down to a controllable breeze. Right now, at least. Good Sunday morning my friends. The sun is shining, and the birds are singing.

The coffee has finished brewing, and of course, Dateline is on. You know what that means, right? We’ve come to the ass-end of the weekend, and it’s chore day here. Later on, I’ll be doing some lawn work over at my parents place. I’ll have to take some allergy pills before that.

Yesterday wasn’t too bad. We drove to SlightlyBiggerTown, and split off in to two separate teams. Me to the cell phone place, and Crystal to the second hand store.

After what felt like 2 hours, we finally walked out of the store. I’m now the owner of an iPhone 15 Pro Max. The main picture of this post is the first photo on the new phone. I think it looks pretty good.

From there, we hit the bargain store, the pharmacy (I had to pick up a prescription for my mom.), and then it was time to get out of dodge. With a quick stop at Subway.

I dropped Crystal off at home, and dropped the truck and prescription off, and walked home. We had an amazing lunch, and I got all the apps to start downloading. Crystal played her game until it was dinner time.

After dinner, we started the rewatch of Outer Range. The second season dropped last week, so before starting the new season, we need to refresh our memories of the show. It’s just as good as I remember it.

Back to work tomorrow. Early shift.

Hopefully the wind stays down.

He had a pickup truck and the devil’s eyes

Good Sunday morning, on this second day of Pride month. How’s everyone doing? Settling in alright? I hope so. We hit the bed last night, and after some ahem, activities, we both passed out. Well, I did. I assume that the Crystal did as well.

I don’t think I moved more than 2 or 3 times. The bed was my prison, and let me tell you that the bed wouldn’t let me move. I was in 100% comfort. I heard the alarm, and I really didn’t want to move, let alone get out of bed.

So comfortable.

And now, here we are, in the world of the living. It’s mostly overcast. But the wind has finally stopped. Just a bit of a breeze this morning.

Yesterday was a really nice day. I walked up to Shady Acres to grab the truck. From there, we went to SlightlyBiggerTown for some groceries, makeup, weed, and some rather large sandwiches from the local Subway. I dropped off the truck, and we ate some lunch. I watched some TV, then passed the control over to Crystal so she can play her new video game for a few hours.

Dinner was made, baths were had, and there was snuggling on the couch. Tonight, we’ll head over to Shady Acres for my birthday dinner, and present. It’s back to work tomorrow. Happy Chore Day everyone. I hope all y’all have a good day.

You know that I ain’t bragging, she’s a real pussy wagon

Good sunny morning. The birds are singing, and both the cats have made their way on to the back door table. They’re in a giant sunbeam, and they are loving every minute of it.

The coffee is flowing, and we’ve both been awake since before the alarm went off. But the bed was so comfortable. We reluctantly got out of bed. Besides, we both needed to use the bathroom.

So yesterday, I was the adult in the building. I opened the store. Just a little hiccup with the opening, but with a quick text to the boss, I got the store open. After the first hour or so, the nerves disappeared, and the day got underway.

The day was actually a little slow, for a Saturday. I gave the two new guys their positions for the day. The Saturday new guy only works Saturdays, so he’d just be outside customer service. Current new guy, who is register trained with me. We ran the store. Well for the most part, I was the register jockey. He did get time on the register, but I was the majority of the register jockey.

By six, it was time to close. I worked on that, and when it came to 6:15, I couldn’t handle them watching me at that point, so I sent them home. I only had another 5-10 minutes of work, which got done.

Home.

Crystal made an AWESOME dinner. Pasta and sauce, garlic bread, and a giant garlic sausage. It was very very tasty, and I was stuffed by the end of it.

After dinner, Crystal wanted to take her dreads out, and needed my help. So of course I’d help her. Earlier in the week, she was listening to her music, and sent me a text saying that we needed to have a rematch of Grease.

So of course I found it on Paramount right away, and we sat down to remove hair, and watch Grease. It was as good as ever, and we throughly enjoyed it.

Break me off a piece of that KitKat bar

It’s bright and sunny. The birds are singing outside, and both cats are on the little table, looking outside. Staring directly into the sunrise. They are totally happy. It’s Sunday, and there’s no wind out there, just sun.

I slept like the dead. I think if I didn’t have the alarm set, I think I’d still be sleeping right now. I had some strange dreams. Nothing too crazy( but I think all the shows that we watched yesterday totally contributed to my dreams. I don’t remember them, I just feel that they were strange.

The shows we watched yesterday included: a couple of episodes of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, then a couple of episodes of The X-Files, and then during dinner, it was an episode of Last Week Tonight.

It was the perfect storm of strangeness.

Dinner was two giant plates of nachos. The restaurant wasn’t open, due to some scheduling problems. And the nachos were huge. We ate our fill, and were couch locked for the rest of the night.

Rewinding a little, we drove to SlightlyBiggerTown in the morning. It was a little drizzly, and windy. But we made it and grabbed the food that we need for the next couple of weeks, hit up the pharmacy, and eventually made it to the local dispensary.

Crystal’s vape battery died less than a week after we bought it. So we were going to replace it, when Crystal asked if she could get me the vape box battery mod thing that I’d been looking at for a couple of weeks for an early birthday present. So that’s what we did.

I think that it was a pretty good Saturday. We made it home around the usual time, and then we feasted on our Subway sandwiches. It was a good day. a very good day. Def in the top ten of Saturdays w/ chores that I’ve had in a while. Of course now it’s Sunday, and the real chores are waiting to happen. That’ll be in a few hours. But first coffee.

It’s time to get things started On the most sensational inspirational celebrational Muppetational This is what we call the Muppet Show

Good morning everyone. I struggled to stay asleep and in bed until 7:30. I guess that’s as late as I can sleep in now. But it’s not too bad. I get to sleep in, but now lose a lot of time by being unconscious. It’s almost a win-win.

The lose-lose is I have to reset my alarm clock for 4:30 on Monday morning. That’s gonna hurt, lol. But that’s a problem for Future Shawshank. Future me isn’t gonna like getting up that early.

Yesterday was a nice, do nothing day. But we did get stuff accomplished. We grabbed stuff for lunch and dinner yesterday, and I helped out my mom by grabbing some pictures of the trailer, and with the help of Crystal, made a flyer. I’ll be putting fliers up around town today, and tomorrow.

Today, nothing much planned. The regular chores, and all that fun stuff. My parents are in CapitalCity for the day for an MRI scan for my dad. So we won’t be going over today. I dropped off the mail, and a Mother’s Day card yesterday. Today I have to pop back over and hang up the for sale sign on the trailer, and grab the flyers.

I’ll do that after the chores are complete.

But first, coffee. The sun is shining, and it looks nice out there. Both kittens are in the back table, enjoying the sun. This is the only time that they’ll sit or lay or sleep side by side. Pippin must be loving this, while Chaucer sees it as a necessary evil, that he has to endure, to be in the sun.
