And I feel the way that every child should sit and listen, sit and listen

Good morning everyone. Unlike the last two days, it’s bright, warm, and sunny outside. It looks like it’s gonna be a really nice day out there. I might even wear some shorts today. I dunno, we’ll see! The day is full of possibilities.

Of course one of the possibilities will be chores that need to be done. I’ll start that a little later. Right now, it’s Dateline, and coffee time this morning. And let me tell you, the coffee tastes pretty good this morning. I’m pretty good at the whole mixology of coffee grounds to water.

Yesterday was a pretty fun day, we traded back and forth playing the game. Later on in the afternoon, I suggested we drive into another SlightlyBiggerTown to check out an actually open second hand store, and as a bonus there’s a craft store that we looked around in. Crystal really liked the old patterns, but declined to pick one up. It’s all good, she found some awesome fabric/twin size sheets for more hippie pants.

The Avengers pants are going to look awesome!

I’m very happy that the sun is shining.

Coffee cup salute everyone, happy Mother’s Day!

I’m a model, you know what I mean and I do my little turn on the catwalk

Oh, there you are. Welcome, the coffee is brewing. It’s a little gray outside, but that’s how it’s gonna be until tomorrow. Don’t mind the rain, it’s said that the farmers need the rain. I don’t, but the farmers do.

It was a good day for the most part yesterday. We went to SlightlyBiggerTown. We hit all the major spots. Minus a couple that closed, or not even open on Friday. We got groceries, and some weed, and lunch.

We both played some Tears of the Kingdom, and enjoyed ourselves. At times it was a little frustrating. I don’t remember dying stupidly as much as I did yesterday. But growing pains, amirite? I’m pretty sure that the game will be turned on at some point this morning.

Ever since we put up the curtain in the kitchen, Chaucer has been the goodest boy ever. He’s not crying at 5 am, and for the last couple of days, he’s been quiet all the way up to the alarm. He may not be sleeping, but he stalks quietly. It’s very nice.

Ok, I need a refill. Let’s get the day started!

First impressions: Tears of the Kingdom

So, I started TotK this morning. It’s massively huge. it took me about 4 or maybe 5 hours to get out of the hell that was the starting area. Don’t get me wrong, it was a really nice starting area, but a couple of things stuck out that were bothering me.

1. You wake up, and get the usually welcome back talk. You are provided with pants. Just pants. I was second guessing my exploring skills thinking that I missed the shirt. I was actually going to restart this morning, because I wanted to find the shirt.

2. I know BotW was spread out in the beginning, but there was a lot more … life out there. This “sky-island” (which shall henceforth be known as a “sky-land”) was pretty empty.

3. After you *think* you’re just about done, they pull a fast one, and then tell you that there’s just one more shrine – across the map. Thankfully they then show you how to warp back to where you started, and then make you search for the damn thing lol

Then finally you can leave the starting area. I think think that I’ve died so many times, just starting out.

Then as I’m plummeting to my sure death, my mind tells me, you missed a major item. You didn’t find the paraglider. So I’m freaking out as I’m falling to my death. I ended up aiming for a lake so, I can live. Which put me miles away from where the little yellow dot is telling me to go.

Contrary to what I just wrote, I am having fun, and I probably could’ve stayed in the starting area for a few more hours to try and find more things of interest.

I can’t wait to play more tomorrow. Crystal is playing right now, and I’m gonna try and help her as much as I can.

I need to start killing monsters and such. I just came from BotW with over 30k in rupees, and now I’m completely broke again!

You’re my doll, rock’n’roll, feel the glamour in pink

Good morning everyone. I’ll have to make this quick, because once my eyes can focus on command, I’m gonna be logging into

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

I’m mature, and adult. I turned in the Switch and tested last night if I could play. I turned on the game, and it started as per normal. I said ok, I play tomorrow. And shut it off. I was very proud of myself.

I painted from about 10:30-4:30 yesterday. It looks really good. NewNewGirl suggested to BossLady that instead of touching up on Tuesday, but to actually roll on a second coat on the deck. I tend to agree, and I think BossLady agreed too. I guess we’ll find out Tuesday.

Happy Friyay all! We have an action packed day today. So let’s get at it bitches!

You’re so fine, I want you mine, you’re so delicious

Well, hey how’s it going? Me? As per usual, I crashed last night. I didn’t turn my bed up last night, keeping it at level 1. I don’t think I feel as groggy as I have been, but it was only the first night without melatonin. We’ll see what it’s like tomorrow. So far so good.

Yesterday wasn’t too bad, slow but not too bad. Quiet in the morning, but I got a lot of little things taken care of. Mostly it was just in a holding pattern. I didn’t want start painting the deck because the weather app said we were expecting thunder storms – in fact most of the early afternoon was thunder storm warnings, and for about an hour or so. But each time the warnings went off, I’d look outside.

Sunny and a couple of clouds.

I ended up doing a second coat about 3:30-4ish. I only have to touch up the dark stain, and then just the other half of the deck and we should be done.

Not bad for a dude that’s never painted/stained a deck.

The reviews are starting to come out for Tears of the Kingdom. So until tomorrow, I have to avoid them. Shouldn’t be too hard. I’d definitely watch a review, if there’s no spoilers – spoken or visual. But that would be too hard for any reviewer to handle. So I’ll ignore them.

I need to refill my coffee. Happy Thursday y’all! Almost to the weekend!
