Well, I just got into town about an hour ago – took a look around, see which way the wind blow

Good morning my friends. It’s almost the end of the week. I’ve been alone all week at work. Tomorrow, a coworker comes in and I’ll have someone to talk to, you know, other than myself.

I have been working on inventory. I work until my attention span, and my eyes can’t focus on numbers. Everything has been counted, just going through all the numbers to figure out the costs for all the items. It’s slow going, and there’s 3 sections left. I’ll be asking for help to finish this.

Anyways, it’s been quiet at work, which is good.

What’s even better than a quiet work day, is a damn fine cup of coffee every morning. I don’t want to too my own horn, but toot toot. I can make a pretty good cup of coffee.

I slept like the dead last night. I did wake up at one point at 5:30. Then the next time I woke up, was about 630, then 6:45, then 6:53, then 6:57. Then I fell into a glorious sleep for 3 minutes, and the alarm went off.

Good Wednesday morning everyone. She was up wicked early, and for the most part, I woke up about a minute before the alarm went off. She was already in the living room when I got up.

We’ll figure this out.

I asked BossLady if I could leave for about an hour yesterday to go to the second hand store, and the boss replied, “we’re not open, why don’t you just leave at 2, take the rest of the day,” more than I asked for, I thanked her, and relayed the information to Crystal. I told her I was going to treat it like a Saturday. I was just gonna work all the way through.

Then we went to the second hand store.

I didn’t think there would be anything there that we just needed to have. It’s a very small store, and it’s only open for 6 hours a week. There’s not a lot of turnover there. There’s still books that have been there for as long, if not longer than I’ve been here.

But Crystal did find a thermos, in the free section.

Ok, I needs me some coffee. Let’s do this!

You could’ve been getting down to this sick beat

I’ve been up on and off since about 5 this morning. Mostly asleep, but partially awake. Mostly just tossy turny. I’d be too warm, roll, and then be slightly cold. Happy Tuesday everyone!

We’ll, we’re both up, and coffee is in front of us. I think Crystal has been up longer than me. I feel terrible for her and her terrible sleep. Hopefully, it fixes itself soon and she then can sleep through.

But it’s back to work today. I’ll be by myself today. I’m going to see when BossLady calls or texts today to see if I can leave work for a little bit and go to the second hand store with Crystal. It shouldn’t be a problem because we’re not open today. So we’ll see!

But let’s get the day started. I need coffee in my belly! And my eyes to focus. Happy Tuesday!

You’re so fine and you’re mine

Greetings, bitches. The alarm went off this morning, and I turned it off. Are you proud of me? Ha! I slept for another 20ish minutes before finally getting up out of bed. The cats even let us sleep in a little. We’ll, let me sleep in a little. I’m sure Crystal was up at her normal time.

Coffee is flowing and we have the news on. No mass shootings overnight, which is a good thing for sure. Just the aftermath of the one that happened yesterday or the day before. 70 year old shooter. That’s pretty sad, if you ask me.

We brought the switch over to Shady Acres yesterday. We ended up playing Mario Kart 64. I forgot how much fun that game can be. The switch is pretty cool, because with two controllers, we had enough for me, Crystal, and my dad to play against each other. I forgot how good Crystal is at the game. No trash talk. She’s just a racing machine. She ended up winning most of the games we played.

Today, is a bonus day. Eventually, I have to go up and get some milk – but that’s about it. We don’t have any plans. Maybe we’ll play some video games, maybe we’ll play Godtear. I don’t know yet. The day is open. The only thing I know for sure is that we’re having brunch today – I’ve only been thinking about the bacon since Friday.

So let’s get the day started. The sun is slowly coming up, and it’s a windy one out there. Perfect day to just be, and to be happy that we have heat and food, and little kittens that want to snuggle us. Happy kittens!

So wait for the stone on your window, your window

I slept all the way until the alarm went off this morning. We’ll, hello there, good morning everyone! I trust that you slept well. I hope that Crystal slept a little bit better than other mornings. She didn’t know what time it was, but I told her when I woke up. I think she felt better when I told her what time it was.

But she’s probably been up since around 5 or 5:30. So there’s that. But some part of me would like to think that she slept in with me.

So it’s Sunday, and that means it’s chore day. I’ll start that in a few hours, so right now it’s just wake up time. Eye focus time. Coffee time.

Last night, we fired up Netflix, and watched The Pale Blue Eye. It was pretty good. I don’t think I’d call it a “gothic horror” like Netflix describes it. It was at most “supernatural mystery”. Christian Bale again does a great job of simply disappearing in the role. I don’t think it was good enough for a full review or anything like that.
