Hit me with the horns Tony

It’s like god, and the baby jeebus forgot to turn on the lights this morning. It’s a dim, cool, and wet morning here in TinyTown. It’s definitely sweater weather today.

Once again, the weekend flew by, and we’re on the last the day of the weekend. The weekend always goes a lot faster than the week days. So today is a sloth day with one exception – I have to run to the grocery store, because when we went shopping on Saturday, I mentioned that we can have burgers Monday evening, and then we completely forgot to get hamburger buns.

Since it’s so cool, Chaucer is already between us trying to stay warm. I try and tell him that you’re covered in fur, you should be somewhat warm. But he’s not. He has to get in between us to stay warm. On the other hand, Pippin is sitting I front of the open back door, just soaking up the cool morning air.

Other than the grocery run sometime today, there’s nothing really planned. Well that’s a lie, we quickly talked about me playing TotK, and having Crystal nap on the couch. After brunch, of course.

So yeah, it’s a vey crisp, cool day here so far. It’s not supposed to climb too far out of the 60s today. Brr!

With a boulder on my shoulder, feelin’ kinda older

Good morning my friends. When the alarm went off this morning, I didn’t want to get out of bed. For me, the bed was just the perfect temperature. But I dragged myself out of bed, because the kittens needed to be fed, and the coffee needed to be brewed.

After work yesterday, we hopped in the Hot Mess Express and popped over to SlightlyBiggerTown for some groceries. We found just about everything on the list. We forgot a couple of things that weren’t on the list, but it’s livable without those items.

Nothing out of the ordinary while we were there. The store wasn’t too busy which is always nice. I think we were in and out in about a half hour or 45 minutes. Not too bad if you ask me. After we loaded the HME, we popped over to Dairy Queen for a quick bite to eat, as we were both starting to get really peckish.

And of course, when we got home, we put all the groceries away. Then Crystal fired up the Switch. She had come up with a plan. I think it was a double cross, or a triple cross. I don’t know, but it work. She successfully played both sides for a quest in Skyrim. I was totally amused and impressed that she managed to pull it off. I didn’t even think you could do that!

After she played, I got a turn. I fired up TotK. I think I figured out why I’m not too fond of Skyrim (which I’m really trying to like), there’s too much involved on the back end of the game. So much crafting, alchemy, and all that. Then there’s all the options every time you level up. I know, I know, if I want to play other RPGs that I claim to really like, I’ll have to get used to and figure out which builds I want. in Skyrim, you can build your character to be anything you want. Any build. Wield any weapon. That’s a lot of options!!

Course, all I see on my Google Discovery is all about Starfield. I know it’s done by the same people that made Skyrim. It’s not even available on the switch, and probably never will, lol but I would like to try it. But I digress.

So anyways, I fired up TotK. I didn’t have a plan, but I explored a little bit of the Depths. I found some more light roots, and a couple of new clothes, but I didn’t actually achieve too much. But like Skyrim, this is TotKs bread and butter. I’m closer to the end game than the beginning, so I can just wander around and do quests things, or in the case of yesterday, just exploring.

Happy Sunday y’all!

John Candy still had time, River Phoenix in his prime

Ahh Saturday. The day of Saturs. We survived the night, even though it broke up our schedule a little. You see, around 7:30, the power went out. We am didn’t know right away, because we were both outside. I went in to get my phone because I commented about how the street lights weren’t on yet.

So I walk into the Flat, to quickly grab my phone, and it’s a wall of darkness. The only light source in the whole apartment is the Switch, chugging away on battery power. Like outside, it’s pitch black inside.

We hung out and finished up what we were doing outside, and Crystal found her poi, and started to turn them on for lights. I do have candles, however, the kittens aren’t exactly the smartest in the world, so we fire that lit poi are better than open flame.

We managed to make it through until about 9:30, when suddenly all the power comes back on! I reset the clock on the stove, and put away the drying dishes. From there, I started the water for Crystal’s hot cocoa. From there it was pretty much back on track.

Like I told Crystal, I’d rather have the power go out during the summer/fall, rather January when it’s minus 30 or something crazy like that. No harm, no foul. We went to bed at the normal time. And I’m pretty sure aside from one quick trip to the bathroom sometime in the night, I was out like a light, and pretty much never moved.

So yes, what an adventure! Just a short shift at the shop today, and then we’re off to SlightlyBiggerTown for some groceries. I’ll have to make a list while at work this morning. But right now, I need a refill in my coffee mug.

You’re my doll, rock’n’roll, feel the glamour in pink

Friday, Friday, gotta get down on Friday. Yep, it’s Friyay here! Woohoo! I was up a little early this morning. I would randomly wake up and cough a couple times until I found a more comfortable position, then the whole thing would start all over again. It’s all good.

The coffee has brewed, and we’re consuming it. I’m a little tired, but it workabale. The cats are wandering around – probably both are fighting for control of the table.

Yesterday at work, wasn’t too bad. We had a couple of customers come in. BossLady was supposed to come in for a few minutes, but I got a text saying the construction was slowing her down too much, and she was turning around. She called a little while later, and I had to gather a few things for her and to just text some pictures to her. Easy.

NewNewGirl was supposed to open with me, but BossLady said she’d be in around noon. Cool. I took care of a few items, and just held down the fort. It was a relatively slowish day. When NewNewGirl arrived that’s when BossLady called and gave us some tasks.

After work, I came home and Crystal had dinner going and it was an amazing meal of beef fajitas. It was so very good.

But today is a new day, so let’s get things started. It’s almost the weekend, friends. Let’s do this 🙂

Blood in the streets in the town of New Haven

Oh, hello there. I’m pretty sure I slept through the night. I don’t think I moved in the night, so I’m a little stiff. When I woke up, both kittens were on the bed all snuggled in. I slept like the dead.

It’s trying so very hard to be bright and sunny outside. It’s not too bad out there, a little cool but should be a nice day out there. The coffee is brewing m, and the cats are wandering around. I think Pippin is on the back door table, and I’m not too sure where Chaucer is.

Yesterday at work wasn’t too bad. I think I got quite a bit done. I built some furniture, and helped one customer out, and sold her a lamp, so all in all not too bad of a day. I even made some phone calls and actual work as well. So it was a little steady, but mostly slow.

Sorry but the words aren’t coming too easy this morning. So I’m gonna sign off. Drink some coffee and know in your heart of hearts that the weekend is coming pretty quick. Happy Thursday!
