Ahh the first day of the Trump presidency. Did you see his coronation yesterday? We watched a little bit of it, then Crystal finally asked me to shut it off, so I put on YouTube TikTok compilations, and that’s what we watched until it was time for me to go to work.

Work wasn’t too bad yesterday. Slightly busy, but wicked cold out there. The wind was just going right up the back of my jacket. No matter which way I was standing the wind was pretty much going right through me.

I woke up in the middle of the night wondering if I had eggs for brunch. Then my mind was like if you don’t have eggs for brunch you can go out and get some eggs, and have breakfast for dinner.

So we’ll see.

But first, coffee.

I can’t even fucking cap no more, this is a really dark time for me

I slept like the dead.

I don’t think I moved too much in the night.

I was pretty much out as soon as my head hit the pillow. That’s the thing with weekends off, after two nights my body just relaxes. But don’t worry, it’s Sunday today. Time to start amping up anxiety and all that good stuff: I go back to work tomorrow evening.

We didn’t do anything yesterday, and it was glorious. We just were couch locked. We didn’t do anything that had to be done we were content being in the moment.

Since I did the chores last Monday or Tuesday, they’ll go pretty quickly today. I should be able to bang most of them out as they pop up on my reminders.

Other than that, dinner at Shady Acres, and before that – brunch. We won’t talk about the wings disaster last night. No, we won’t.

Midnight, and I’m a-waitin’ on the twelve-oh-five

The Beautiful One let me sleep in. I was able to ignore Chaucer in full asshole mode this morning. Repeatedly. For a cat that never makes a sound sure loves to scream just as we go to sleep, and again when he thinks we should get up.

Good times.

Work was a little crazier than the last couple of days. It seems like suddenly everyone remembered that they haven’t been out the house for like 4 days and they knew the exact place they wanted to go. My store. We also had two deliveries arrive within a half hour of each other. So yeah it was a crazy afternoon.

But since I didn’t have Sunday off, I’ll be doing all Sundays tasks today. So here I come laundry! I’ve run out of my thicker socks. So it’ll be nice to get them back again.

So yeah relaxing day. Maybe I’ll try and fight the big boss in Persona 5. We’ll see. Let’s get chore day started!

I’m awake.

Chaucer dropped another album this morning. It wasn’t very good. So technically I’ve been up for a while, but I’ve been trying to fall back asleep.

It did work. But it’s also a good thing. We got shit to do today. I have all the chores I didn’t do last Monday, plus laundry. And Crystal is making a couple of cakes today. One for the Christmas party for me, and one simply for personal use.

Like I said yesterday, we went grocery shopping. I was also supposed to get shit for my secret Santa at work. Of course I remember just about as I’m falling asleep that I totally fucked up and forgot.

Shit-balls.

I’m a little lucky that my Santee, won’t be able to make it. I fucked up, but I’ll make it right. Just a lot slower.

I really didn’t want to get out of bed this morning. I was very snuggly. I tried to snuggle The Beautiful One, but the way she lays when she’s watching her TikTok’s, is pretty much impossible to snuggle her. But I tried anyways.

Yesterday at work wasn’t too bad. It was busy in the morning, and as the day went on, it slowed down a little. By the time we arrived at closing time? It had pretty much fallen off. But we got what needed to be done.

But now I’m on some days off, which are really nice. I’ll pop out to the tiny grocery store to see if they have any poinsettias. If they do I’ll get one for my grandmother for Christmas. I don’t want to, and can’t afford to get her a drawer full of sugar free candy.

But it’ll be chore day here today. And a massive fight in Persona 5 Royal. It took Crystal most of the day yesterday to finally beat the boss. So I’m definitely not looking forward to the fight. I’m gonna change to easy, before the fight. Hopefully it won’t take me 5 hours.
