I FINALLY SLEPT UNTIL MY ALARM WENT OFF!

Oh lawd, I feel like I’ve slept in. What a weird feeling.

Yesterday was a lot slower than the day before. It was nice and it sucked at the same time. I like to be balls to the wall busy – time just flies. Yesterday was a little slower, so time in the afternoon went slower.

Today is almost like a vacation day, BossLady is going to CapitalCity to do whatever BossLady does in the big city. She’ll be back tomorrow.

It’s kinda grey outside. It could go either way today. But it’s somewhat warm out, so there should be more melting happening today. That’s a good thing.

Ok, I needs me some coffee, I hope y’all have a really good day. Especially, you!

One that makes me feel like I feel when I’m with you

IT’S FINALLY STOPPED SNOWING.

It’s just cold out there now. I’m really tired of the snow. Just want to put that out there. I mean it’s April for Jeebus’ sake.

Good morning. Happy Wednesday. The middle of the week. For you and for me, as I’m not working this Saturday. Yay. I managed to sleep in today. I slept in until 6:44 this morning. Hey, that’s way better than 6:20, if you ask me.

According to the news, I’ll be missing Country Thunder again this year. Country Thunder is the premier country festival in this province. I’m not too broken up about it though.

Since I’m still waking up, I think I’ll cut this short. I’m a little groggy and am snuggling my cup of coffee. Happy hump day everyone!

When the sun’s comin’ up I got cakes on the griddle

The above is how I’m going to look when I go into work. Wide awake at 6:20. I go out and look at the clock, and go back to try and sleep until my alarm goes off. I get comfy and fall back asleep. Something in a dreams startled me, and I wake up again. Thinking it’s close to when my alarm will be going off, I get up and look. I slept for an extra 9 minutes. Screw it, I say to myself. I get up, brush my teeth and turn in the shower.

Thankfully I didn’t pack up my heavy sweaters. I get dressed, and bundle up to go outside to shovel again. The snow is light in some spots, and deep in others. It’s been snowing and blowing for 24 hours now. I don’t think that it’ll never stop, and I now live on Hoth.

I wonder if everyone will actually make it into work today. Or if I’ll be the only one. We’ll find out in a couple of hours!

Home Video – The Hunger Games

So, this week, instead of reading, I watched a trilogy in 4 parts. That’s right, movie nerds, I watched The Hunger Games. Based on a bestselling trilogy of books by Suzanne Collins, we’re transported to the world of Panem.

I won’t get into the whole history of the Hunger Games. Y’all have read the books by now. I know it’s been years since I’ve read them. I was introduced to them, when a tropical storm hit Rhode Island, and we lost power for like a week.

In my opinion, the first book was really really good. Then it went down hill from there. But I digress. I’m not here to talk about the book series. I’m here to talk about the dumpster fire that is the film series.

JLaw, in my opinion, cannot act her way out of a wet paper bag. She’s terrible. I think a wet labradoodle could have been a better Katnis Everdeen.

I went through the whole series ( I’m on the last movie as I type this), with no emotional investment in any of the characters.

Are the books better than the movies? Or the other way around? I don’t think I have an answer for that. Your thoughts?

And the days go by, like a strand in the wind

The snow started last night, it’s supposed to snow for all of today, and tomorrow. I’m not sure how I feel about this. Saturday, I was wearing shorts. Now, I’m back in layers again.

I don’t have too many plans for today. I have to dust, and plant some parsley, rosemary, and thyme. And food, I have to figure out some food too.

I’m having French pressed coffee. It’s very very good. My French press is small basically just big enough for a mug of coffee. So I’ll have to figure out the other cup, cup and a half that I usually drink in the morning.

It’s a good day, to have a good day. Happy Monday funday!
