Now everything’s cool, Drac’s a part of the band

If you look at that picture, yes, that’s snow on the ground. It was switching between rain, and snow, with rain finally winning. So by the end of the night, the parking lot was a muddy mess.

It looks like it’s gonna be another cold and blowy day out there. Hopefully the wind decides to die down before I get to work. But it’s winter now, the wind won’t stop blowing for about six months.

But, it’s Halloween! I wonder if anyone will be coming into the shop dressed up or not. The only thing I can promise – people will be coming in drunk. I thought about it last night, and it’s crazy how many people are functional alcoholics. It blows my mind.

But for now, I’m toasty warm with Pippin laying on my legs. It’s gonna be a good day for everyone!

Happy Halloween!

“Haven’t you people ever heard of closing the goddamn door?”

So, last night, huh? Podrick was in rare form. He jumped up onto the counter and knocked over one of Crystal’s water cups. He broke the lid, so I dumped it out and put it in the sink. The little guy got up into the sink, and stole the straw. I got to be able to listen to him for the next 20 minutes (probably only like 5 minutes) playing, loudly with it. High anxiety while high, was a great way to fall asleep! Was it really just the straw, or does he have broken, super sharp shards of plastic from the lid?

Well, I can’t find the straw, or any shards. I’m sure my mind will file that away for another night to think about.

He’s currently in full on hurricane Podrick mode right now.

Work wasn’t bad last night. Again, without a manager, the employees have taken it upon themselves to assign one guy to do the schedules. So we had three people, because we were expecting a truck. Well, the truck arrived hours before we did. Combine that with a relatively slow night, and you get 3 bored employees. I cleaned as much as I could. Eventually, it was time to close. Me and the part timer tried to get the dude in charge to close at a normal speed. That didn’t work, so I closed down the computers while the guy actually closing, just chatted about nothing at all.

I made it home, finally.

Woohoo!

Back at it again this afternoon. Let’s goooo!

When I’m eastbound and down and I can’t help but cry ’cause I-40 gets lonelier with every mile

Oh yes! Podrick was a perfect gentleman this morning. He only jumped up on the night table once, and bolted as soon as I got out of bed. So I quietly closed the bedroom door, and climbed back into bed for another 45 minutes. Only when I was meant to get up, is when he started to pull at the door.

And now, here we are 🙂

Work was wicked slow yesterday. Plus we had a third person on with us. Because we were supposed to get two trucks. We got one, and the order was small, I got it done before the third person clocked in. What can I say? I like putting out freight. Other than that, we cleaned a little, and waited for the day to end.

Back to work this afternoon. Hopefully it’ll be another good day. I think there’s gonna be three of us again – due to having another truck tonight. So at least, either way we’ll be busy. And that’s a good thing for sure.

It’s getting cooler and cooler during the days now. Winter is coming, and I’m not impressed. But, there’s nothing that we can do about it. I might as well just accept the things I cannot change, right?

Pass the Dutchie ‘pon the left hand side

Good morning my friends. I hope y’all slept great. Mine was ok, the closer it got to our normal time to get up, Podrick was already at it this morning. He was a menace. Him and I aren’t talking this morning.

Yesterday was a really nice relaxing day. We watched some episodes of Yellowstone. I can appreciate the struggle now that I’ve seen the two prequel shows. And it’s neat seeing the same actors across all the shows.

We didn’t do too much. Well, I didn’t. Crystal, on the other hand, sewed up a kick ass apron. And, I believe that she finished it yesterday. I’m very proud of her. Her costume is going to look amazing. I can’t wait to see the whole thing on her. there’s murmurs of drip, and rizz.

Back to work this afternoon. A little bit of drama at work yesterday. I guess first shift checked in a truck, and then left it untouched for second shift to deal with it. So the guys weren’t all that happy yesterday afternoon. I’m happy that I missed all the drama, and just got some updates via text.

I hope all y’all have a great day.

I need coffee.

Can I get some fries with that shake-shake boobie?

I ignored Podrick this morning. Well, I tried to. The last half hour or so, in combination with a stuffed up face, I lightly slept. He pulled at the door for a little while, then I slept, but he was back again. I looked at the clock and it was later than yesterday, so I got up, and let Podrick into the bedroom. I picked him up, and gave him loves on the bed before I got dressed.

Yesterday we went over to Shady Acres, and I was up a ladder shortly after, to clean the chimney. Most people know that I’m not fond of heights, and this was the first time that I did it all by myself. I set the ladder up, and carried the tools that I needed. I was just about done, the battery in the drill died. I texted my father that I needed a new battery. I got one, and finished up. I did manage to get a nice panoramic of the sky line.

After that, we hung out and each played on our devices before dinner. My mom really liked her gift certificate to get her hair did, and her favourite snack. They’re in the process of going through all their stuff, and slowly getting rid of the stuff that they don’t want, or need.

After dinner, and desert we came home and fed the kittens, and got comfortable in the couch. I didn’t feel like watching Yellowstone, so I put on some cozy shows. We watched Jessica Fletcher solve some mysteries, and then Michael Knight, and KITT kick some ass.

The bed started to call us.

We went to bed, and woke up this morning.
