Still runs good, built to last moves like a hula girl on the dash

Shawshank, August 24, 2026

If it’s Monday, that means I got back to work this afternoon. With just one short day off, I’m now forced to go back to work, lest we start to live in the truck, and the Hot Mess Express.

We don’t want that.

We didn’t do too much of anything yesterday. We hit up SlightlyBiggerTown, for groceries, playing cards, weed, and Subway. With about an hour or so, we were on our way back to TinyTown. After we finished our subs, I stayed dressed, and headed over to Shady Acres. I grabbed a couple of boxes from downstairs, and moved a chair from the back of the camper, to the front of the camper.

After that, I went back to the Flat, and played Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 for the rest of the afternoon. Then I think around 5, as I was getting dinner together, I realized I hadn’t started the laundry. So quickly I gathered the laundry.

By bed time everything was complete.

We crawled into bed, said our good nights, and turned on the sleep white noise. I only had to reset it once; I was out like a light.

I’m still waking up.

The sun is shining.

Huginn and Muninn have been fed. I haven’t heard them yet. But they’re out there.

It’s a very very quiet and gray day out there. I mean, it’s totally silent out there. Maybe a cheep for some birds, but no other sounds out there this morning. It’s eerie out there. Very Invasion of the Body Snatchers. But I’m up, mostly dressed, and almost ready to…
