Seven swans a swimming Shawshank, December 7, 2023 Oh, it’s morning again. That sleep went very quickly. I was up I think, around 5. Just to go to the bathroom, then I was back snuggled in the warm bed. It felt like only a couple of minutes before the alarm went off. It’s not too bad, but a week of closing shifts is hard. Getting home between 9:15-9:30. Tonight will probably be closer to the 9:30 mark. But we’re getting closer to the weekend. This’ll be the last full weekend off, probably for a while. I almost have my big boy pants. I can mostly work unsupervised on the register. We’re supposed to have some weather tonight, going into tomorrow. Rain tonight, then it turns into snow whilst everyone sleeps. I’ll believe it when I see it. So just a little rain before it quickly changes to snow tonight – then lots of snow tomorrow morning. Yay snow, said no one ever. The people I work with are pretty cool. They’re very nice, and have infinite patience with me. I ask stupid questions, but they just smile and answer the questions. But, I have two more days of closing. Then the weekend off, and I close again on Monday. Then it’s a couple of opening shifts, and a closing shift. Then my first Saturday shift. It shouldn’t be too bad. I have 90% of the basics down. It’s just remembering how to do all the functions. It’s not rocket surgery! Life blogbloggercoffeejournalmorningsTinyTown

I think it’ll be a nice morning after the fog burns off. It took me a little longer to fall asleep last night. I had rolled over and Crystal was snuggled… Read More
Life Birds and snakes, and aeroplanes and Lenny Bruce is not afraid May 16, 2025 The baby let us sleep. Well, let me sleep. He sucked on crystals fingers for probably a few hours, while I slept blissfully unaware. Currently, Pippin is on the second highest shelf in the front window, and Podrick is on the shelf below, playing with a ribbon on a stick…. Read More
Life If it’s anyone’s fault, it’s the lime and the salt July 13, 2026 Well, it’s about 20°s cooler this morning. It’s still humid, and we’re continuing our mini heat wave. Instead of a high of 94-96° like yesterday. Only a high of 87° today. That’s a good thing for sure. We headed out to SlightlyBiggerTown for some supplies. We drove in comfort and… Read More
