Riding down the road, messing with my radio dial Shawshank, March 30, 2026 Spring is here. But so is the snow. I believe it’s been snowing since around 2 this morning. Podrick has been active since around 5 or so this morning. All morning. He’s been chasing Pippin all morning. Or trying to climb the screen in the bedroom. It doesn’t look that bad out there, but I haven’t been all the way outside. But there’s snow, and it’s spring. You do the math. This kinda sucks, man! But, at least, the snow covers up all the nasty mud, and other shit. Spring in the prairies is an ugly affair. Once crops are growing, it looks a lot nicer than, spring. Let it snow, mothaphuckers! Back to work this afternoon. Then a day off, then the long push to the weekend. My parents were supposed to go to CapitalCity for my dad’s first chemo treatment this morning. But, I think when I mentioned the snow that was coming, caused my dad to look into it as well. At one point he got up out of his chair, and went into the kitchen and asked my mom to call the cancer centre, and tell them that m, due to the snow, they won’t make be able to make the 2.5 hour drive. But for right now, it’s nice and warm in The Flat. Podrick (actually just laid down in the car bed) is entranced by the snow falling, so he’s looking out the big front window. Pippin is slightly paying attention to the snow from my lap. And as soon as I write that last paragraph, Podrick is being Podrick. Meowing as he’s being bad – almost as if he’s telling us that he can’t control himself. Happy Monday, y’all. I’ll buy ya a cup of coffee. Come on over! Life I travel the world and the seven seas January 21, 2023 Welcome, welcome to Saturday! Both of us were up early, Crystal way longer than me. Finally after me one finger snuggling her, she got up and out of bed. I think I made it another few minutes, then I rolled out of bed with the weirdest song stuck in my… Read More
Life Sundown in the Paris of the prairies August 1, 2020August 1, 2020 Another day done. About the only thing I really did today was walk down to the grocery store to pick up the local newspaper. It comes out every Friday, but I was actually busy yesterday and didn't have the time to pick it up before the town rolled up the… Read More
Life ‘Cause I’d like to see you out in the moonlight I’d like to kiss you way back in the sticks February 7, 2026 Thanks to the medication I’m on now, I’m pretty sure I saved my job. Long story short, the kids switched shifts, and then the kid that was supposed to open (who closed last night), slept in. I called him and when he picked up, I said two words to him… Read More
