You never count your money when you’re sittin’ at the table. There’ll be time enough for countin’ when the dealing’s done

Good morning all you crazy crazy people. The Flat is awake, and the coffee just finished brewing. I have The Beautiful One sitting next to me, and the tiny Pippin cat snuggled on my lap.

I slept like the dead last night. I don’t think I moved too much last night. I did get up in the night to use the facilities, and climbed back into bed where I snuggled Crystal as closely as I could. Like I’ve said in the past, the bed was the most perfect temperature.

We didn’t do a bunch of anything. It was a good sloth day. Around lunch time I made brunch, and Crystal enjoyed some bacon and pancakes for breakfast, where I had eggs, bacon, and hash browns. After the meal, we were nice and full.

After brunch, we sat on the couch and Crystal played some Balatro, and I play some Slay the Spire on my phone. I cleared out some other games that I downloaded and then never played. I have to try and get my Battle.net account up and running again, then I can try Hearthstone. But that might be a hassle. I haven’t decided yet.

I’m having wicked dreams of leaving Tennessee

We’re all awake here. It’s slightly gray outside but it doesn’t look that chilly out there. But I bet it’s a little chilly out there. We’re in the middle of third winter, but hopefully it’ll be the last winter of the season.

Yesterday morning, I bit the bullet and installed Slay the Spire on the phone. I played it very briefly on Sunday when we got home from Shady Acres. I played for about 40 minutes and unlocked the second character. I think I’m just going to unlock the characters and maybe just play one until I’ve gotten good at it, then I’ll try a new character.

Work was a little busier last night. It was doable, but it was an annoying steady. You just get your jacket off, and you have to go outside to help another customer. But again, it pretty much died out once it got dark. We had a perfect night the night before, so we’ll see how we did when I get in tomorrow.

No plans for today. I got up in the middle of the night to find my sleep mask, and to go to the bathroom. As I was sitting there I remembered that I said I’d be making brunch today. Woohoo! Brunch! I’m sure I’ll make poutine for dinner tonight.

But before I get added to any US attack plans, I’m gonna get some more coffee, and snuggle Crystal and the tiny Pippin. Happy Wednesday!

Sail away with me to another world

I’m awake. The bed was the perfect temperature, and I didn’t want to get out of bed. Thankfully, Pippin only scream for what felt like maybe 3 or 4 hours. But I know it was only for a few seconds. But she sure is loud, when she wants to be.

Work wasn’t too bad last night. Slow/steady. But we managed to get some stuff done yesterday. I think we managed to get everything done that needed to be done. I managed to get some propane tanks filled, the weather was gorgeous out so I’ll take any excuse to go outside.

The Prime Minister called for a snap election for the end of April. Like south of the wall, it’s pretty much good vs Trump lite. Hopefully, Canadians can learn from what happened south, and choose wisely in April. we’ll find out on the 28th of April.

Back to work again tonight. Hopefully the shift goes as quickly as yesterday. And hopefully the weather is as nice as yesterday as well. I totes wasn’t complaining about the weather yesterday. It was beautiful out.

Sometimes dropping down to fifty miles per hour only to immediately gun it back up to 90 again fast, slow, fast, fast, slow

Well I almost beat Balatro yesterday.

Almost.

I would’ve beaten it, if I had one more hand. I had to beat $100,000. I made it to I think 88,000. So I still haven’t beaten it. But I did make it to ante 8, round 24. So that’s something, right?

Other than that, we didn’t do too much. We did the chores, and we relaxed before going over to Shady Acres. It was a nice quiet weekend. But now, I have to go back to work.

In a few hours.

But first, coffee. And hopefully Pippin will wander over and snuggle a little bit.

Well, happy Monday everyone. I hope your week goes well. It’s a long work week this week for me. But hopefully it’s getting warmer out.

Elphie, come on, we’ll be late for Wizomania!

Pippin was very insistent this morning. So I let her under the covers. She didn’t stay too long and was off doing Pippin things again. Up to and including, standing on me and screaming. Standing on the bed and screaming. Standing in the bedroom and screaming. And, I cont forget this one: standing in the hallway outside the bedroom and screaming.

She’s just looking for Chaucer.

I slept pretty good. I was slowly starting to wake up around the time that Pippin was starting, but she quieted down for a few minutes, and I managed to fall back asleep again.

Yesterday wasn’t too bad. Like I said in yesterday’s post, it didn’t actually snow. It just looked like it was going to all day. But we managed not to get lost in the new grocery store, and did our other rounds, making it home just a little earlier than normal.

We didn’t do too much after putting away the groceries, and having our subway lunches. Crystal play Balatro, and I think I watched YouTube shorts or something like that. We just spent time together. No! I remember! I browsed Reddit on Crystal’s laptop!

I made wings for myself for dinner, and chicken strips for the Beautiful One. After dinner I gave her the option of an early bath and movie, or just a movie. Crystal chose to just watch a movie, so I put on Wicked.

Why is it part one? Why wasn’t it markets as a part one?

I really liked it. Course I’m going in 1000% blind. I’ve never seen The Wizard of Oz, or really anything related to Oz. Other than I think a SyFy mini series called Tin Man. But does that even count?

Today – chores, coffee. We’ll be heading over to Shady Acres to celebrate my dad’s birthday.

But back to work tomorrow. Yay.
