You think you’re such a big shot with that big ten-gallon hat overcompensating, you know what they say about that

Good morning my friends. It’s a new week, and Podrick was mostly good. We (me, probably just me) managed to sleep, and then doze until 6:50, but the cult of Podrick is just too strong. When he thinks it’s time to get up, he’ll pick at you. And pick pick, until you acknowledge him ☝🏽

It was a nice day yesterday. We did a bit of everything, but mostly nothing. And it was glorious. I did laundry, and ignored every single other chore. As the laundry was being processed, I made brunch, and stepped aside for The Beautiful One so she could make French toast.

We consumed.

Sometime in there, I shaved the sides of Crystal’s head with the new clippers that I picked up in SlightlyBiggerTown the previous day. The little rechargeable one that I got for either my birthday or Christmas was very slowly, then quickly dying.

At 4pm, I switched over to Netflix to watch day two of WrestleMania. Our hopes weren’t too high, considering night one. We made jokes throughout night one. The first nights matches just didn’t really catch our attention. The matches were all less than 15 minutes, so I think it was 7 matches in 3ish hours. Not good.

Night two had a lot to prove.

Boy did the first match prove everything and set up the rest of the night. And the rest of the night was awesome. No spoilers here – maybe.

Oba Femi retired Brock Lesnar.

Holy shit.

Shine it up, rev it up, and let it run, yeah

What can I write about when the last time I wrote here mere hours ago. Nothing too much has changed. I managed to sleep in until 6:10 today. And on a day off too! Podrick, really just stated being Podrick. Nothing more. And he wasn’t really going crazy from what my sleepy brain could process.

We watched night one of WrestleMania yesterday afternoon. I was sports entertained, but the internet on Reddit is complaining. I don’t think I’ve ever seen them happy about something. the matches (according to the angry boys on Reddit) were really short, and there was no backstage shenanigans that usually happen. It was really just short matches, that lead into commercials.

I know, I know! Commercials on a pay-per-view? That’s crazy talk. Commercials aren’t on PPVs. They’re supposed to be more special than the shows on TV. I can understand the Netflix commercials because, well, internationally, the home of the WWE is Netflix. But we were getting all sorts of commercials. Better than the US, and from what I’ve read, the UK – who basically watched the Hulk Hogan documentary 3.5 minutes at a time over the course of the 4 hour show.

The matches like I said, weren’t bad. They were just wicked short. I think only 2 made it over the 14 minute mark. The women’s matches hovered around 6-9 minutes each. That’s not right, because shit man, the women division and Carmelo Hayes have been carrying both RAW and SmackDown! on their backs for a year now.

We’ll see what night 2 is like. Hopefully Oba Femi wins, and I’d like Trick to win tonight. I hope Pank, and Roman decide that they’re both too old, and retire before their match – because the writers and producers in the back would probably all stroke out.

More coffee please.

Yeah, you better get to livin’ it up before you wake up dead

Holy shit, I almost forgot to post! I don’t want to lose my streak! But here I am, mid-evening, and I’m struggling to think of something to say.

I worked early this morning, and it was quiet, slowly picking up the closer we got to being able to leave. From work, I picked up The Beautiful One, and we drove to SlightlyBiggerTown to restock supplies, grab a late lunch, and sped home to unpack everything, and get ready to watch WrestleMania.

It was very sports entertaining.

But now, I’m just relaxing, and mentally preparing for the bed to envelope and nourish me.

The way that you turn every head that’s around you

Podrick was a very, very good boy this morning. I only had to whisper-yell at him. I got out of bed, checked the time on the stove, and went back to bed. He was picking at the auto feeder. I let him, it was set to go off four minutes later.

I slept in today. But of course, Crystal was wide awake. One day, I’d like to roll out of bed, and look over, and Crystal is deep asleep. One day, I’d really like to wake up to that.

A boy can dream.

It’s snowing out there. Podrick is in the front window, watching big flakes fall from the sky. Pippin is in the bedroom having her breakfast. She gets some quiet time without him in her face.

Work wasn’t too bad, with all the ice. But we had a delivery, and 80% of that got put out. So we had that going for us. But for tue most part, minus one big rush, it was pretty quiet. Nothing two people couldn’t handle. So we got out pretty much on time. Tonight will be the same, except I have a different co-worker tonight. He’s a little scatter brained. But I’ll move him along like I do every time I work with him.

Tomorrow – opening the shop, then off to SlightlyBiggerTown for the supply run. Then back home to feast, and watch WrestleMania. That’s the weekend.

I would really just like it to stop snowing, though.

And boy, let me tell you, she was the prettiest thing I’d ever seen in a pair of boots

It’s kind of sleeting out there. I could hear it against the window as I opened the back door to take this mornings picture. It doesn’t look nice out there. But then again I think the forecast was a little wrong. I don’t think we’re gonna get the 5-6 inches of snow. It’ll just be a nasty day.

We’re up early. Podrick. I’d just about fall asleep, and head bang something that sounded like it was right next to me, then a scramble of claws agains linoleum, and running. Always running. Nothing too much was disturbed. I hid the actual Switch controllers, it was just the hand grips that he knocked down.

Back to work for the next couple of days. Closing today and tomorrow, then opening on Saturday. It’ll be a busy Saturday. Opening at work, then it’s off to SlightlyBiggerTown for supplies. Then it’s night one of WrestleMania. That’ll start at 4, I think. Sunday is ours as well. My dad has his second chemo appointment on Monday, so we won’t be going over, so they can have an early evening, as my mom says it’s starting to get harder to wake up at 4.

It’s time to get a refill on my coffee. All of our roads right now are in the “travel not recommended” category. We’ll still be busy at work, so I need all the fuel I can get. Happy Thursday, all you party people!
