Bonne fete du Canada!*

Good morning everyone. It’s a bright sunny, and from what I hear, gonna be very warm today. Finally, some warmth. I still bring my hoodie to work, and wear it at the end of the night.

Coffee has been brewed, and is currently being consumed. Podrick is trying to start something with Pippin, who just wants to enjoy the sun at the back door. He’s going back and forth from terrorizing us, to eating, to terrorizing Pippin. But he’s been a really good boy, letting me sleep in again this morning.

We don’t really have anything planned today, other than chicken burgers this afternoon. So the whole day is open to us to do whatever we want. Maybe the town will set off fireworks. I haven’t heard anything, but I’m sure someone has fireworks.

Instead of putting on NBC News, I put on the national coverage of Canada Day. They were just in Newfoundland, and it looks like they’re having so much fun.

What “friends” alum starred in films with Bruce Willis? (we answered so fast it was scary) Everyone stared in awe when we screamed Matthew Perry!

Good morning. Yep, this post is a little late. The kittens let US sleep in. Yes, even Crystal! I know, it’s cray cray. I don’t think Crystal has slept in until 8:30 in a long time. so I got up and fed the kittens. Podrick has eaten most of his food already.

I think they’re both on the back table, enjoying the sun. Pippin is starting to hold her ground a little more, and has allowed Podrick to get up there as long as he doesn’t bother her. So other than the tv being on, I don’t hear any scraps, growling, or scrambling to get away. It’s a nice morning.

Some of the chores got done yesterday. I planned the night before to do all of them before watching Night of Champions, but I didn’t. I’ll have to do the rest of the chores tomorrow. On the day of Canada’s birth, I’ll be scrubbing the toilet and cleaning the shower. That’s something for future Shawshank.

Sing my song I’m goin’ round the world, I gotta find my girl

Good sunny morning, party people! Who’s ready for a great morning? Podrick is up doing Podrick things. He truly loves to chase his tail on a sleeping body. He was just a little wild this morning. Crystal’s vape came right at him, so that set off the little orange firecracker. So far, he’s helped Crystal clean out the litter box, tried to wrestle Pippin, tripped me up as I walked to the kitchen.

It’s gonna be a busy day this afternoon. We’ll be heading over to Shady Acres, I’ll be helping my dad install a hot water heater. There’s a good chance I’ll be working with electricity, and soldering. The last time I worked with electricity, I shut the main power down to the house, and I was still freaking out. So we’ll see.

But before we head over, I’ll be doing the weekly chores. Laundry, clean the shower, etc. I’ll also be turning on the Night of Champions. I got spoiled with a couple of results last night while at work, but I’ll watch it anyways. But I’ll get most of the chores started before watching it.

Right after I refilled my coffee, I looked over at the back door. Both Pippin and Podrick were sitting nicely at the back door on the table. Now growling, or anything just two kitties looking out over the backyard, vibing.

In the park across the street L-A-T-E-R that week

Back to work today. Podrick was a little more involved on the bed this morning, but he wasn’t that bad. Crystal does her best to keep him off me, when all he wants to do is chase his tail. Eventually it was time to get up, and here we are. On the couch.

Yesterday wasn’t too bad of a day. It was really nice out. Not too hot, not too cold. And not so sunny that it’s hard to drive. It was a really nice day for a half hour drive, to get groceries, and weed. Then a half hour drive back. We are out subway sandwiches, and played some Balatro. I was still sore so I relaxed and didn’t do too well at Balatro.

When my parents got home from CapitalCity, I had to go over and move the hot water heater from the truck to the basement. I figured that I could move it pretty easy enough on my own. I managed to get it in the basement without too much drama.

Once at home we watched some of Friday night Smackdown. Then they had technical difficulties for 40 minutes, and then were back on the air. It wasn’t the greatest episode, but it finished and now we’re ready for Night of Champions that is airing live around 11 this morning. I’ll probably watch it tomorrow.

Kick it, kick it, yeah, that’s the ticket ain’t no bloodin’, ain’t no crippin’

Good morning, it’s ya boy Shawshank. It’s kinda a gray day out there. I think it’s supposed to possibly rain and maybe thunder storm for a bit today. I don’t know, but it kinda looks like it out there. And it’s already rained. The lanai is a little damp out there.

We didn’t do too much of anything yesterday. I got up, dressed and made it to Shady Acres. I grabbed the weed eater, and made quick work of the front yard. By the time I was finished, about 45 into the lawn maintenance, I was very sore. I haven’t used a weed eater in years, and I could feel the muscles tightening. So I went back to The Flat, and showered, and took an Advil.

Yep, that’s me. I’m still not unlocking decks, which is my plan. But the green stakes are just simply kicking my ass. I’m having so much trouble actually making a good run. I think the farthest I’ve made is round 17. I wanted to play Persona 5: The Phantom X, but I couldn’t hold my phone yesterday, so I’ll try again this afternoon when we get back from getting groceries.
