Hobby time – Warhammer fun

It’s been a nice and lazy day here at The Flat. I honestly have done pretty much nothing.

I’ve been building and taking pictures of my Sisters of Battle – Adepta Sororitas.

I almost packed it in after cutting out the first too pieces. The damn glue wouldn’t come out. I had to Google if there was any way to fix this, as I didn’t want to drive 5 hours total for just one little item from the Warhammer store in CapitalCity.

Thankfully I didn’t have to. But the magic was really gone – the excitement of the build was dashed from 20-40 minutes of figuring out that stupid glue problem.

I only built one model, and two armorium cherubs. I just didn’t have the excitement to continue. Plus, I only have 4 sisters left to build in the Retributor squad.

So after I built the Retributor Superior, and the two cherubs, I decided that I should probably dust the ‘hammer shelf.

I took the pictures and then sent them to Crystal to work her magic.

Now I’m just on the couch watching yet another Tabletop Tactics battle report. This one is from a year ago, I’ve watched all the newer ones. They only put out one video a week on Freeview.

I’ve had to check twice. Once last night and once just right now to make sure that it was Monday and not Tuesday.

I’m still not 100% convinced.

But the coffee is brewing, and the birds are singing their little bird songs.

It’s another sunrise in TinyTown!

Yesterday was pretty good. I went over to Shady Acres for dinner. Roast beer, and it was pretty good.

I fielded multiple questions about Warhammer from my mom. It took a couple of hours, but I think she was fishing for Christmas ideas. If I was collecting orcs, it would be easier to embarrass her if she went in to the Games Workshop store.

I used to do that when I was a teen. What do you want for Christmas? Um, the newest Barenaked Ladies album, or Big Nakeds album. I’d love to get Chumbawumba’s album.

Don’t the hours grow shorter as the days go by?

Good morning all you party people! It’s Sunday, and you know what that means: Chore Day!

Yesterday was a pretty good day. This weekends road trip went way better than the previous one, which was great. We went to BiggerTown to return some items, then it was off to CapitalCity.

We had lunch at an A&W, and then we went to the auto parts store. I split off from there and found myself in a Warhammer store. Yay! I’ve been wanting to go for a while and here I am. I wasn’t just looking for me, I was looking for Crystal as well. I got her a small model, and a larger model – for Christmas.

I got a big model for me, and while telling Crystal about it last night, I said I wanted to do some advanced things to it. That means I’ll need adult supervision in this case, I’ll need her artist supervision.

I know right? I’m excited and scared to build it.

After I picked up all the cool loot, I head back to the auto parts store, my mom goes look, this would help you build your models. It’s a clamp on light with magnification. I said test it would help but I just spent all my money on this – and I held up the bag. She just picked it up and put it in the shopping cart. I thanked her a lot as we walked up to the checkout.

Ok coffee is ready – let’s start the day!

Hap hap happy Saturday morning. It’s starting to be darker and darker when my alarm goes off. I think the sunrise is minutes before my alarm goes off. But it does make for a pretty sunrise.

I’m up, dressed, and the coffee is brewing. In a couple of hours, I’ll be on a road trip with my parents, and gramma. We’re going to BiggerTown, and hopefully CapitalCity.

Hopefully, it’ll be better than the last road trip.

So it goes.

So yesterday, everyone was trying to talk to me and I was trying to do 2 or 3 things at once. For some some reason it seemed like every blogger I follow on the WordPress app decided to post all at the same time and Crystal and I were texting back and forth. I quickly looked at my phone and noticed the Crystal had emailed me.

Weird.

I open up the email and it’s an itinerary for a flight! Florida woman comes north! I’m so excited, and I was floating for the rest of the day!

Woohoo!

Maybe I’ll make a batch of poor man’s strawberry jam for her!

I’m not big on social graces, think I’ll slip on down to the oasis

Good morning! It’s a little late today because the editor is finishing up her post, and then will try and figure out why my site is throwing up the good ol 403 error on the main page.

Gotta love technology, huh? If I was able to have uploaded the feature pic today I would never have known.

Yesterday was a day off work. I didn’t do anything. I watched a couple of Warhammer battle reports, solidifying that Tabletop Tactics is the best of the bunch on YouTube. I kinda wish I could subscribe to get all their in demand games.

So it goes.

I watched The Lighthouse last night. What a delightfully strange and weird movie. Edward Cullen is a great actor. I really enjoyed it.

Coffee is being consumed and I’m ready to go to work this morning. Tomorrow should be a road trip to BiggerTown, and then up to CapitalCity. I will take time out to visit the local Games Workshop in CapitalCity.
