There be deers outside, snackin’ on some grass and whatever deer eat. Less than 100 feet from my back door. I whispered yelled for Crystal to come to the door to check them out. They’re so pretty. They were just eating. They didn’t care for us.

And this morning, there was one back. I guess my neighbours tree and grasses are yummy to them. The one this morning snacked, and then just wandered away between two houses.

I made it through work yesterday. At about 4:15, BissLady called the bar next door and ordered a pitcher of a drink called a paralyzer. They guy didn’t know how to make it, so I believe we got a pitcher of White Russians. Still very good if you ask me. It was a nice way to end the week, and the year.

Now I don’t have to go back to work until next year.

That’s not too shabby.

But today we don’t have too much of a plan. Around 10 we’ll head out to SlightlyBiggerTown for groceries and probably some weed. We’re gonna have appetizers for dinner tonight. Possibly a nap this afternoon, so we can make it until midnight so we can actually ring in the new year.

Take out the papers and the trash

Hey, you know what? It’s Friyay! Finally, it’s the end of the week. We’ve made it. All I have to do is make it through my shift today, and then I don’t have to work for the rest of the year. That’s pretty awesome if you ask me.

We started inventory at the store yesterday. BossLady was actually out on the floor working with NewNewGirl. I was the one in the back, double checking prices and making sure the prices out on the sales floor are the same as on the website. I think they have all the big stuff counted.

I slept ok. I think I was up at the normal time. I felt Pippin jump up and get comfy, but I can’t put a time on when she jumped up. I didn’t look at the clock this morning.

Tonight is date night. I’m really looking forward to it. It’s been a couple of weeks since we’ve gone to our usual restaurant, so that’s going to be fun. It’s much more relaxed than the dour, silent restaurant that we’ve gone to in the past couple of weeks.

We don’t have any plans for New Year’s Eve. I did ask Crystal if we could have a nap Saturday afternoon, so we could make it to midnight. So we’re going try to do that. Maybe we’ll find a good movie to watch or something to keep us entertained.

But right now, just enjoying some coffee, and happy that it’s Friyay. What’re your plans?

Good morning everyone. Welcome to another dark and coldish day north of the wall. I slept ok until about 6 this morning. Then I woke up. But I managed to fall back asleep in a very light sleep. But technically, I slept until the alarm went off.

Yesterday was a bit of a joke. In the 2/3 years that I’ve worked here, we’ve never been open the week after Christmas. We were open this year. 2 people wandered in. And just looked around the shop. One person who came in said they just happened to be driving by.

Anyways, we’re all in today. And we should be starting inventory. We should be starting at our outside warehouse. I need to get in there before we start it, and re-organize everything. I’m gonna ask for a couple of hours to organize, then have at her and we’ll do inventory.

But before all of this – coffee. I need it. Get in mah belly. Let’s greet the day caffeinated. Happy Thursday everyone.

Revvin’ up your engine listen to her howlin’ roar

*yawn* Good morning everyone. It’s back to work today, so of course I was mostly awake about an hour before the alarm went off. Pippin was curled up between and on my legs this morning. I thought it was Chaucer, because of the weight. But it was the tiny one, who feels heavier when she’s curled up.

Coffee has been brewed. And the kittens have been fed. It’s dark, and the wind is still blowing, but I think we may have only gotten about maybe an half inch to an inch of the white stuff over night. Probably a little less than that. Not a lot of freezing rain. Which is a good thing for sure.

We didn’t do too much of anything yesterday. I watched Top Gun: Maverick, and popped out to the grocery store for some bread and a frozen pizza. Crystal, primed the minis that came with the game she got me for Christmas. I can’t wait to see how they turn out!

But for right now, I’m gonna just drink some coffee, and try my hardest to focus my eyes. Happy Wednesday my friends.

Good morning everyone! The last day off before heading back to work tomorrow. Whatever shall we do? I’m pretty sure it’s going to involve a whole bunch of nothing. If I have my way. It’s so very nice not to have anything on the radar. Not having to do anything or be anywhere.

It’s above freezing today. I know, right? I went out this morning and it felt strangely warm out. Even looking at the snow piles, it looked like the piles had compacted. I guess they did – it’s above freezing, duh.

The coffee has been brewed and we’re watching the morning news. While it’s warm, it’s still dark out there. The days are slowly getting longer. Eventually, it’ll start to get warmer – but not today. It’s just supposed to be warm today and tomorrow, I think. Then it cools off again.
