But I’m gonna be where the lights are shinin’ on me Shawshank, November 22, 2022November 22, 2022 Another morning. Greetings, friends. It’s time to wake up and greet another Tuesday morning. I’ve been up since about 6:30, opening my eyes every couple of minutes to look at the alarm clock. I didn’t want to get out of bed this morning. I didn’t want to get dressed this morning. But here we are, fully dressed. Yesterday was a good day. We didn’t do anything whatsoever. We didn’t even get dressed. It was glorious. I watched the Mighty Nein Special, and was so impressed on how easily they fell back into character. I sat there with a smile on my face. I have about an hour to finish up. I may watch it this evening when I get home. Last night, I was outside and I noticed a little cat in the back yard. He was crying so I asked Crystal to bring me a bowl and some food. He wolfed down that bowl of food, while we made an impromptu shelter. We put it outside with some more food, which was empty this morning. The last time I went out, I think he was in it all curled up. And it was getting slightly warmer out. That made me happy. I filled the bowl this morning. I hope he had a good night. Food and shelter Ok, time to suck back some coffee and get into work mode. Happy Tuesday! Life blogbloggercoffeejournalmorningsTinyTown
Life Bring in the dog and put out the cat October 22, 2025 So in the last two three eleventy I have no idea how many days. My sleep fogged mind can’t figure basic stuff out this morning. But Crystal started 1883, and I was there to finish it with her. Then we watched season 1 of 1923. Yesterday we finished the second… Read More

Life If you get hot, you must get cool September 3, 2022 Good morning! It’s Saturday, and there’s plenty of coffee to be had. So grab that coffee cup, prepare thyself for the coffee cup salute. Let’s salute the invention of blankets. What a smart invention. Another really good invention, that I think just might catch on, if marketing is done right… Read More
Good morning, world. Happy Tuesday. Not Monday, for sure, but still rather “meh”. I’ve been up for a bit. It was one of those nights. I got cocky about the melatonin. I slept too greedily and too deep, and now I’m paying the price. While it’s still dark and chilly out there, I don’t think the area saw any snow overnight. The shit Shawshank shoveled is still shoveled. He tells me we can possibly see temps go above freezing here today. If that’s the case, then I’m going to try to bundle up and go outside. Even if it’s just a couple of songs, any amount of spin time is good with me. After the coffee had been consumed yesterday, I announced I wasn’t getting dressed. I apologized for being a champion scrub, but I didn’t want to move. The world is lucky I even wore my mutandes. We watched some YouTube, which inspired me to pull out a pencil and try to sketch up a diorama I’d like to make. I made a sketch of the outer case of the project, barely more than some lines, before I gave up. I need to find centerpieces of the diorama first. The display case, while it could be impressive if I actually do this, is not the main focal point. I stayed in my rammy-jammies for much of the day, until a button popped off. Moving on to the next round of the grodeo rodeo, I switched into the Teletubby onesie. Shawshank was out back, having an after-dinner smoke, when he called me from the doorway. “Can you bring a bowl and a scoop of cat food?” he asked. A little black cat was hanging out by our patio, meowing in the cold. It was too dark to tell for certain, but I think it might’ve been the same little tom I had been petting outside Shady Acres on Sunday afternoon. We made an improvised shelter from a box. Shawshank shoveled a little patch beside the steps and put the box outside. He thinks the little cat was sleeping in there when he went out before bed, which made us both happy. Both the shelter and the dish were empty this morning. We’ve mentally added a plastic bin to the weekend’s shopping list; the cardboard box won’t make it through the winter. Reply
