And the streets don’t change but maybe the names

Hello, good morning. We had a bit of a scare last night. I got up right at bed time to take a plate into the kitchen. I put the plate down, and told Crystal who was in the living room oh the whole world just went pear shaped. The next thing I know, Crystal is kneeling over me, trying to wake me up.

How did I get out here? I thought I slept walked out to the kitchen, and I was very confused for a couple of minutes. Then I passed out again. Crystal said it was almost like I had a small seizure. After that, I told her that I was fine, but I wasn’t in any shape to walk to the bedroom. So I crawled. Got undressed, and was helped into bed.

I think I managed to stay awake until Crystal got into bed, then I was out until around 6am. I’m sure Crystal didn’t sleep too much last night, probably waking up every time I moved. I feel ok, I think. Other that being so wickedly sore. I do remember asking if I broke my new glasses, but Crystal assured me that they’re just fine.

Happy Thursday everyone. I hope it’s a good day today. I need a win for sure.

Time on my hands could be time spent with you

Good cold morning! With the wind, right now it’s -38. We’re under a extreme cold warning until just after 8 tonight. Yep, we’re still in the middle of winter.

I can’t speak for Crystal, but I slept like the dead. Neither of us heard Pippin climbing into the book case. When we got up there we’re books on the ground. As Crystal started the morning, I cleaned up the bookcase.

I got my new glasses yesterday. It’s going to take a little while to get used to them. With my old glasses, and how warped they were, I mostly had to move my head instead of my eyes to look around. I have to retrain myself to move the eyes. That’ll take a little while.

We’re well into the morning now. I have Pippin on my lap, and Chaucer is annoyed that she’s on my lap, I just had to tell him he can snuggle in between us. Old man is gonna old man I guess.

Time for a coffee refill. Happy Wednesday!

Glaciers melting in the dead of night

Well hello there. Good morning. I think everyone slept ok last night. I was dead to the world after I climbed into bed. Shortly before the alarm went off, Pippin climbed up and snuggled me for a couple of minutes.

Then the alarm went off.

Time to get up and greet the day. Coffee has just finished brewing. Pippin is on my lap, and Chaucer is wandering around. He just debuted his newest song, and was letting us listen to it.

Back to work this morning. Yay.

But before that, let’s have some coffee and wake up time. It’s gonna be a good day. Let’s all have a good day!

Lockup Library: Star Trek: Picard Season 1

So today while Crystal was sick, and sleeping in the bedroom I watched Star Trek: Picard. It’s part of the library on Paramount+

I shouldn’t say I watched it. I binged the entire season. I’d still be watching it, but the stupid ass licensing here in Canada means that the company that originally produced and made the show, only the first season is available on Paramount+

I really enjoyed the first season. Great mystery. The only thing that I thought of through all 10 episodes is that the TNG cast is so old. I remember them in their prime from TNG.

And you know if they’re old, that means I’m very old.

That was depressing.

But other than that, I really enjoyed the show, and I’m eagerly awaiting if and when the next season becomes available on the service.

It was really really nice to see some of the old cast reunited again. They fell right back into their comfortable roles. You could tell that they were having fun being back together.

When friends come to call it’s the hap-happiest season of all

That’s right. It snowed this morning. Just under 2.5 inches of the white stuff, and I’m not talking cocaine. I am literally really getting tired of the snow. And winter.

But here we are.

Crystal isn’t feeling well this morning. She’s declined coffee and is dozing on the couch next to me. I hope she gets feeling better soon.

I don’t have a lot to talk about this morning. I did play a few hours of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. I really like it. It’s the first Zelda game that I’ve really been able to get into.

I’m going to take care of Crystal. I loves her so much. We’ll get her 100% as soon as possible.
