Lockup Library – some of the books I read last year – part 3 Shawshank, February 15, 2021February 15, 2021 Ahh the final entry in the three part series of some of the books I read last year. This one is a special one. It’s all one series. A series that I have read many, many times. So many times that it’s embarrassing. So gaze upon the majesty of this book series. Gaze, I said. Gaze. “Say it…” he whispered. “Vampire.” I shuddered. That’s right! Take a trip back to Forks, Washington. It’s a time before social media, and cell phones. It’s just pure teen angst, and high school in a small town in the northwest. Team Edward, or Team Jacob? What can be said about this series? For one thing, it’s better than Fifty Shades of Grey, or so I’m told. I think I made it through the first book of that series. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t all that great either. This series, is totally the bomb.com. Action? Not until the last 25 pages – of each book. But if you want some romance, vampires, werewolves, gray days, and some angst? These books are for you. They’re easy to read, and totally take you into the stories. Perfect for those rainy or snowy days where you just want to smoke some dank weed, and curl up. They aren’t perfect in any way, but they’re perfect to me. I’m comfortable enough in my manliness to admit to crying at the end. Multiple times. And to me, that’s a good book. I’m only a handful of pages into The Guest List by Lucy Foley, and I just want to talk about what I’m thinking about the book as I read the opening chapters. It’s gonna be a wild ride, methinks.… Read More
Lockup Library What’s your bookcase look like? January 7, 2021January 7, 2021 I’m a curious guy, I like to see what other people book shelves are like. When I got to TinyTown in June, I had 7 books. They, when stacked on the floor came to probably lower shin. I didn’t have a bookcase until July or August I think. My mom and I went to a… Read More
