Just touch my cheek before you leave me, baby

Shawshank, August 19, 2026

Good morning my friends. Again, the meatball that is Podrick, let me sleep in. I’m sure that Crystal was wicked bored, just laying there staring at the ceiling.

The crows have been fed. As I was opening up the Flat, I could hear their calls. So I grabbed their wheat puffs, and did my stupid crow call, and threw a couple of handfuls in the back, and in the front. Hopefully soon, they’re come down and the kitties will love watching them for a little bit.

We were actually productive yesterday. I cleaned out my grandfathers books, and packed them up. Then Crystal had an idea, and I made a nook for the cats. Namely, for Podrick. He totally understood the assignment, and jumped right up and rolled in the cat nip I put up there.

We stopped at Shady Acres, and grabbed about 10 boxes from their yard sale, that we were supposed to grab last month, but life got in the way. So we backed up to the drop off area, and unloaded.

Crystal didn’t want a slightly used and chewed on squaty potty.

Then we came home, and I played Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 for a couple of hours. I’m having fun, even if my parks all look the same, and not pure awesomesauce, like Crystal’s tunnels into mountains and all that pure witchcraft.

Guess what? No! You gotta guess. Come on, just guess. Fine. It’s snowing out. Good morning, my friends! It’s a beautiful winter wonderland out there. Stupid snow. Yesterday, I think we were forecasted to have 2-3”. But looking at the weather app this morning, we’re now expecting 4-5”. Good times….
