It’s Christmas time in Hollis, Queens Mom’s cookin’ chicken and collard greens Shawshank, December 19, 2025 Good Friyay morning my friends. It’s the end of the week. All that separates me and the weekend, is a simple 8 hour shift. It’s cold and blowing outside, and we’re seeing snow fall. However with a twist. The wind is blowing so hard, the snow is falling sideways. Good times. It’s forecasted to be windy all day. Work wasn’t bad yesterday. It was slow at the beginning, but we managed to get through just over 100 customers. We’d have a couple, then nothing. Then a burst of 3 or 4. Then quiet again. It was a nice day. My co-worker said what we were thinking: it gets quiet, and we wish for customers, then they’d come, and we’d be like””OMG, why do they have to come?!” Tomorrow, we don’t plan on leaving the house. For me, I don’t plan on leaving the property. Since it snowed yesterday, and today. I’ll have to deal with the snow drifts, and shovel out to the road. I don’t mind shovelling, but it’s not my favourite thing to do. Least I get paid to do it at work. At The Flat, I just do what I’m contractually obligated to do. But that’s a problem for future Shawshank. Future me, most of the time hates past me. Ich hätte gern noch etwas Kaffee. Life blogbloggercoffeejournalmorningsTinyTown

Then Pippin came up and wanted to play. Chaucer was doing his best Batman impersonation by sitting on the dresser – staring at me. Anyways, it’s the end of the… Read More
Life At night, we’re painting your trash gold while you sleep April 17, 2021April 17, 2021 Good morning! One of the days I can sleep in, and I slept until my alarm went off. I was going to shut my alarm off, but I didn’t. I just didn’t turn up the volume. I should’ve shut off the alarm! But I’m awake now, and the coffee is… Read More
Life Bridges gettin’ lower, the shrimp boats coming home December 10, 2024 It’s a cool dark morning out there. Thankfully, I’m inside. I probably would’ve frozen to death if I was outside all night. As soon as my head hit the pillow, I was out like a light. I don’t think I even moved, after I rolled over. Work was a little… Read More
