It’s an old-time recipe, just a pinch of you and me Shawshank, June 4, 2026 Woke up and went to log in for the morning post. My website was throwing up an error message. Of course I turn right away to my web mistress. I hate to lean on her for thing like this. Long story short, I’ve deleted all my cookies, and everything works again. Deleted all the cookies. I don’t delete cookies I eat them. This felt wrong. So, I’ll more than likely be logging into all the websites again over the course of the morning. Stupid cookies. But that’s this morning. Let’s talk about yesterday. I was a productive adult yesterday. I installed apps, so I could pay all the bills. I usually wait for all of them to come in, and they all used to come in almost at the same time. It was they’d come in over 2 days. Now they start coming in and it takes 4 bills a week and a half to two weeks to come in. So I downloaded all the apps, and got the balance, then paid all the bills. I even paid off the town bill. Then I got gas. We had lunch, and then I pulled out the GameBoy. I opened up my 37 year old save file, and determined to get passed the section that vexed me for well, 37 years. I had to load up maps, and walk throughs. Playing on a 2.6inch (diagonal) screen is a lot harder at 49, than it is at 12. But after maybe a half hour, I got unstuck, and up about 5 levels. Happy, I put it down. Back to work until Sunday evening. So I need to start to mentally prepare. For the next two days, I’m not the adult in the store. Saturday morning should be a Saturday morning. Sunday should be really good I think. The unliked employee worked last Sunday, and they didn’t get out until an hour after closing. I think (and hope) I can beat that!
