I had my hair piled high and my baby just looked so right Shawshank, April 23, 2025 Well, it’s finally stopped snowing sometime in the night. Hopefully, now the town will actually start to dig out. I asked the part time retiree that works with us, who’s also on the town council why they haven’t started plowing the town. He didn’t know why they hadn’t started. (Yesterday afternoon). But according to my weather app, we had over a foot of snow in 24 hours. It’s a heavy wet, Rhode Island snow. It was a bitch to shovel at work, and I’m not really looking forward to shovelling my walkway. But we’ll deal with that later. I’m hoping that it’ll warm up quick enough, that I don’t really have to do too much. Maybe that’s wishful thinking. But I’ll take it. So I get a text from my mom yesterday morning, asking if I could help her with her big cat. Phoebe. Phoebe is a large girl, and over the last week, has had some blood in her urine, and isn’t eating too much. I helped my mom take her to the vet. She got weighed, and officially is 25lbs. I was playing with the vets cats, and my mom asked if I would like her to post on the towns bulletin board asking for a kitten for us. I said sure. Within an hour or two, I had a couple of texts from people with orange kittens. One was 7 months old, and the second one was 6 weeks old. I replied to the text with the 6 week old kitten. Tomorrow, we’ll be heading to a local farm, to take a look at the little guy. Pippin could have a tiny brother by noon tomorrow. Crystal has been telling her all about the new little guy. Pictures soon. Coffee first. Life blogbloggercoffeejournalmorningssnowTinyTown
Life He said “The clock on the wall say three o’clock last call for alcohol, so what you need?” July 11, 2025 So it was a combination of things this morning that caused me to be up at the ass-crack of dawn. I couldn’t breathe, my nose was leaking, Podrick, I was very warm, Podrick, I lost my mask, I couldn’t get comfortable and breathe at the same time. You know, the… Read More
Life The beat goes on and on and on and on and Boom clap, you make me feel good November 18, 2024 A sound rang out in the middle of the night – a spoon falling into the sink. I wonder which cat was on the counter? I know that it’s not Chaucer. I was told to go back to sleep. So sleep I did. I really didn’t want to get up… Read More
Life <insert song title here> April 16, 2025 I’m awake. I’m not happy about it. I’ve been up for a while. Not too long, but enough to be annoyed that I’m up a few hours before I normally fall out of bed. I mean it wasn’t a bad sleep. It just wasn’t a great sleep. I was up… Read More
