Yep, it’s a little later in the day for me posting, but, yeah, it is. I had to be up wicked early, because for the first time in what feels like months, I had an opening shift. Podrick was running around like a crazy person this morning, and I credit him with getting me out of bed on time. The alarm was set, but I think the last power outage erased the radio station, so it wasn’t going off. I got up, and checked the clock on the stove. Yep, time to turn the coffee on.
Podrick was a cat possessed this morning. He was getting into everything. And of course, I’m trying to keep him quiet so hopefully Crystal would be able to sleep past 5am. I don’t think she managed to sleep past then because, you guessed it; Podrick. I managed to keep him mostly quiet, as I sucked down half a pot of coffee. I gave The Beautiful One a kiss, and headed to work.
Work was slow. Very slow. It’s one of the reasons why I asked to be put on as many nights as possible. So yeah, wicked slow. It wasn’t even starting to pick up as the closers were coming in. But I cleaned a little bit, and really just tried to look as busy as possible. Thankfully, BossLady wasn’t feeling it either this morning, so it was a little more relaxed.

Since yesterday was a nice quiet day here, I was playing Balatro, and was totally in the groove. I managed to win, unlocking a new deck, and a couple of rounds later was the wall that I was expecting a lot earlier. So that ended that run. I figured that I couldn’t get much better last night, so I closed out the game, patted myself on the back.

Yesterday morning, before we really did anything, Crystal put on the livestream from Moscow, Idaho for the sentencing hearing for BK. We listened to the impact statements while Crystal read the live comments on Reddit. The true crime people are really a bunch of entitled cunts. They demand all the information, and complain when they can’t get the information. They want all the answers, but they’ll never get all the answers that they want.

Yep, he’s dead. I used to watch him on Saturday mornings. I think he used to be my favorite wrestler. Later on in life, I’ve heard stories of how much of an asshole he actually was. Nuff said.
We’ll be heading out to the second hand store here in town in a little while. Maybe we’ll find some awesome treats at a great deal. But, probably not. Happy Thursday!
