Home Video – The Hunger Games Shawshank, April 12, 2021 So, this week, instead of reading, I watched a trilogy in 4 parts. That’s right, movie nerds, I watched The Hunger Games. Based on a bestselling trilogy of books by Suzanne Collins, we’re transported to the world of Panem. I won’t get into the whole history of the Hunger Games. Y’all have read the books by now. I know it’s been years since I’ve read them. I was introduced to them, when a tropical storm hit Rhode Island, and we lost power for like a week. In my opinion, the first book was really really good. Then it went down hill from there. But I digress. I’m not here to talk about the book series. I’m here to talk about the dumpster fire that is the film series. JLaw, in my opinion, cannot act her way out of a wet paper bag. She’s terrible. I think a wet labradoodle could have been a better Katnis Everdeen. I went through the whole series ( I’m on the last movie as I type this), with no emotional investment in any of the characters. Are the books better than the movies? Or the other way around? I don’t think I have an answer for that. Your thoughts? Tiny Town Home Video blogbloggerDVDjournalmoviesNetflixpersonal blogTV

Tiny Town Home Video I saw a werewolf with a Chinese menu in his hand October 24, 2020 So I just finished watching The Twilight Saga: New Moon. Like the book, and Chinese food (man would I love some Chinese food), it leaves you feeling empty, yet wanting more. Like the book, the movie is the weakest of the Saga. It does have a good representation of depression,… Read More
