Hey yo, hey yo, hey yo, hey yo (Play on, play on, player) Shawshank, November 11, 2022 Awake. Well awake again. I’ve been tossy turny this morning. A little too warm I think. And I’m stuffed up, so that didn’t help whilst trying to stay asleep. So here we are. Crystal has been up for about an hour longer than me. She turned on the coffee. She’s awesome. Day off today. It’s Remembrance Day here. In a few hours I’ll be walking up to Veterans park for the ceremony. Then back to the Flat. Last night after work, we went to one of the local restaurants. We were greeted, and were asked if we just wanted “our usual”. So we didn’t need to see menus. In a few minutes our food came out. I swear that each week they see how many fries can physically fit on one plate with a burger. If you head over to Crystal’s page you’ll see the amount of fries they gave me. It’s insane, I couldn’t finish. So everyone out there. Happy Remembrance Day, or Veterans Day, or simply, happy Friyay. I hope all y’all have a good day. In Flanders Fields, the poppies blow Between the crosses, row on row, That mark our place; and in the sky The larks, still bravely singing, fly Scarce heard amid the guns below. We are the dead. Short days ago We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow, Loved and were loved, and now we lie, In Flanders fields. Take up our quarrel with the foe: To you from failing hands we throw The torch; be yours to hold it high. If ye break faith with us who die We shall not sleep, though poppies grow In Flanders fields. Life And the story begins with a song of rebellion September 1, 2020 I didn’t want to get out of bed this morning. I slept mostly through the night. Only sat up twice to clear nasal passages, and to cool off a little bit. The alarm played for a while before I even heard it. Usually, I’ll hear it right at the beginning. Got up, maybe coffee, listened… Read More
Life Have a proper giggle I’ll be quite polite but when I rock the mic January 5, 2025 I’m awake. Well, I’ve been awake every couple of hours to make sure I still have time to sleep. I think that’s exactly what happened. The first time I got up was around 1am, then 3, 4, 6:10, 6:30, and then finally 6:57. The alarm works. I just wish my subconscious would believe me when… Read More
Life Way down yonder on the Chattahoochee November 19, 2020 Well I lived through another wine n design night. Didn’t get home until shortly after 10. Gulped down 15mg of melatonin, and chatted with Crystal for about 25-35 minutes. I guess it didn’t take long for the ‘tonin to kick in, i think i was out around 10:50. Then very quickly up at 5, worried… Read More
