Fire all of your guns at once and explode into space

It’s been an evening, night and morning. Last night I was just high enough that I could hear every sound and object that Podrick was playing with. He got onto the Warhammer shelf, but only knocked down and was playing with just one figure. From there he just played with a couple of his own toys. In the morning, he was adjacent to me, chasing his tail. He’s tiny, but it feels like he’s shaking the whole bed.

But, he’s starting to get better. The mornings, he’s wired for a couple of hours but even that’s not lasting as long. Sometimes in the morning he’ll eat his breakfast right away. Sometimes like today, he’ll have a bite or two and then run like a crazy cat. He’s currently eating. I think that Pippin is on the table. She’s starting to get a little better too. She’s starting the chasey chasey game more, and is not really putting up with his shit. She’ll tackle him, jump to a higher elevation, and then when he’s looking for her, she’ll pounce again.

Work wasn’t too bad last night. It was steady for a while. It was a cooler evening, so I didn’t take off my sweatshirt. Of course, the AC had to be running the whole night. If there’s no snow on the ground, the AC must be on. Maybe it’s because I’ve never really had AC, but opening the windows would’ve been much nicer. But I just dressed for warmth, and the day went pretty good, until about 7ish.

Around 7, it got quiet. So we did part of our closing stuff. That last two hours were just slow. We sat outside, because, the slurpee machine was squeaking something awful. when it was time to start the actual closing, that’s when people started to arrive. At 8:58, we had two guys come in and say “boy are we glad we made it, we just got back into town”. We, the workers, were not impressed. But they mostly grabbed their stuff quickly. We finished closing, and were out of there.
