We’ll be singin’ when we’re winnin’

It’s a gray foggy morning here. It kinda looks like Silent Hill out there. But it’s not really. Just foggy. Nothing paranormal here. It actually feels pretty quiet. But the heat is coming. We’re under a heat warning for the next couple of days. It was a little warm in the bed this morning, and I was stuffed up a little so it was difficult to breathe.

It was a really nice day here yesterday. My dad had good news about his hip and how it’s healing. I found out (they told me where they’d be a couple of weeks back, but I don’t have an appointment calendar like they do, so I forgot) where they were and asked them to pick up two things for us: allergy pills for me, and a big ol box of medical gloves for Crystal, so he can dye her hair without using the medical examination gloves I grabbed from the vet clinic.

As you can see from the picture above, there’s pretty much nowhere that’s safe from the orange tornado. He was a pretty good boy all day yesterday. He jumped on my head this morning. From, I think, the foot of the bed.

We didn’t do a whole lot of really anything yesterday. I cont remember how it started, but I put on AAA Triplemania, the pay per view from Saturday. I have to say I was pretty sports entertained for the afternoon. For the rest of the afternoon, we played Balatro. I’m just screwing around in the checkered deck, just playing around with different joker combinations, when all of a sudden the You Win! screen. I don’t really pay attention to rounds or antes, because after you skip one or two, I don’t have the brainpower to do the mental math. Needless to say, I was surprised.

All right, stop whatcha doin’ ’cause I’m about to ruin the image and the style that ya used to

Good morning. Up early on a day off is never a good thing, but at least I have lots of coffee. Podrick, wasn’t being an asshole this morning. He was just vocal. He was proudly standing on the dresser, and loudly proclaiming that it was morning, and it was time to get up.

So up we got.

I did my bathroom stuff, and then I headed out to the kitchen, and fed them both. A simple bowl of kitten chow, for the orange, and a bowl of soft food for the princess. She ate 90% of it, so the scraps were left to Podrick, which devoured. I think Pippin is on the table at the back door, Podrick on the other hand, was just looking out the front window.

It’s a very gray day out there. Last night when I looked at the weather app, it’s supposed to be sunny, and hot today. So far, it doesn’t look too hot and sunny out there. Ok, according to the weather app, the sun is supposed to come around two. We’ll see. Either way, we’ll figure out something to do, even if it’s just sloth, like last night – we just sat on the couch, and played Balatro all night. Literally, all night.

Ok, my cup needs to be refilled. It’s another day here in TinyTown. What’re your plans for the day?

Now it’s ’95 and they clock me and watch me diamonds shining, looking like I robbed Liberace

Good morning everyone! It’s a gray, and cool, and windy day out there, perfect for going to work today. Yep, instead of chores, I’ll be slinging gas, propane, and propane accessories all day. Come on down, you’ll be glad you did!

Knowing that I had to work today, I did the laundry yesterday. I also washed the kitties beds that go in the shelf in front of the big window. so they were both up there sniffy sniffing at the clean cat bed. Podrick is currently in time out in the bedroom.

See that picture above? Yep, my tired brain just played the white stakes on my favourite deck of cards. I’ve been just trying all the jokers that I’d normally just ignore. I’m trying new combinations, and just seeing what does and doesn’t work. I’m having fun. So yeah, while the win doesn’t really count, since I have unlocked any new decks or anything, I’m still learning.

So let’s get this day started. Coffee has been brewed, and the kittens are somewhat nice to each other. At this exact moment. So let’s call that a win. Happy Sunday y’all!

From Mozambique to those Memphis nights, the Khyber Pass to Vancouver’s lights

Good afternoon to all 2 people that actually read what I write. It’s ok, I understand that what I write is far too advanced for mere mortals to take in and understand – but, please keep at it. You can do it!

I was up at the ungodly hour – the hour that should be outlawed, and removed from every clock in the world; 5am. According to my alarm clock it was 5am, but in reality, it was 5:16 according to the stove clock. I brewed some coffee, and then fed the kittens. Pippin ate like a lady, all dainty. Podrick wolfed down a couple of mouthfuls of food, then was very lovey and snuggly.

Work wasn’t too bad. We got in and got to work. I got the store ready to open, and then it was time to measure the gas and the diesel. By the time I was done that, it was time to turn the sign on, and mentally prepare to greet the first customer that strolled in about 40 minutes later.

Work was actually busy for a Saturday opening. A lot of people decided today was the day that they wanted to get gas. We pumped a lot of fuel this windy day. I have totally had to get my toque out of the truck – when you have no hair, the wind is pretty chilly.

But I’m at home now, with The Beautiful one, Podrick, who’s playing with a soda cap, and Pippin, who is keeping an eye on him, as well as looking out the front window, surveying her queendom. Me? I’m gonna start laundry, because my clothes are filthy, and it’ll help me stay awake.

No change, I can change I can change, I can change but I’m here in my mold

I woke up slightly cold, having a hard time breathing, but Pippin was snuggled in the bed with us. Podrick, locked out of the bedroom, because, like his beautiful mother, is a chaos gremlin.

He is chaos personified. And he’s rotund. But he’s cute, so we’ll keep him. I have to go and help my dad remove a couple of RV batteries, then I think on the way home from that, I’ll stop at the vet, and see if I can get an appointment to get Podrick fixed in the first week of September. That’ll take some of the gas out of his tank. But right now, he’s in front of his bowl, pushing food into his mouth. Man, does he have an appetite. He’s very food motivated.

There are times that they get a long. Mostly when he’s too tired to chase Pippin, they’ll coexist in the same area. Sometimes pretty close, but other times sleeping in the same general area on the bed. There are wholesome moments with them.

The sun is shining and it doesn’t look like it’s too breezy out there. Hopefully it doesn’t go the way most days have this week – starts out sunny and gorgeous, then slowly the clouds roll in, and so does the wind. It’s not gonna be the warmest out there. It’s actually been a shit summer, temperature wise this year. Today has a high of 69°.
