The boy and Crystal let me sleep in this morning. I was surprised when I looked at the clock and it said 8 am. Podrick was playing with a soda cap. So I got up and gave him exactly what he wanted:

Breakfast.

So we’re all up now, and the orange douchebag is on TV, and rambling on all subjects. The US is the hottest country right now. What? What a moron. Rubio looks very uncomfortable, like he doesn’t want to be there.

Work wasn’t too bad last night, but I had two people to help me. Thankfully, we did have two. The delivery got here just as it was starting to really pick up. We’d have still be putting it away at 7 when we should be knee deep in closing procedure. So all in all we got it done pretty quickly, and were able to smoothly close. One more shift, and I’ll have a couple of days off. Always chasing the days off.

Oh look, it’s another day in the horizon. Good morning. We just watched Pippin push Podrick off the window observation stable. Hopefully, she stops taking his shit. I’ve been telling her, when you smack him, put a little stank on it. Hopefully she’s starting to listen to me.

She does like to play – on her own terms. Mostly in the evenings. They’ll start the chasey chasey game. You can’t really tell who’s winning, and I’m sure that they’re keeping score.

Most of the US is under a heat dome. We’re just hoping for just a little heat. Not too much, but when we woke up yesterday it was 46° here. I’m still wearing a hoodie to work. I know that the heat is coming, and the last time we had a warm day all the locals were complaining that it was too hot. I think it was in the 70s. I have a bit of a feeling that it’s gonna get hot longer this year. But we’ll see.

Alright, let’s get this day ready! Fuck yeah Tuesday!!

Gimme three steps, gimme three steps, mister and you’ll never see me no more

Good morning everyone. It’s a wicked windy day out there this morning. I know at one point when I woke up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom, the heat had come on. So it’s gotta be slightly cool out there.

Podrick was a really good boy this morning. Letting me sleep, and then doze a little. He was up and down on the bed, but he wasn’t too bad while he was up there. He chased his tail a little, but for the most part all I could hear was him purring.

Yesterday was another semi-sloth day. We got up, and I started the chores. I started the laundry, and then cleaned the bathroom. When I pulled the first load out of the dryer, I was able to hang towels, and flood a pair of jeans and my sweatshirt. Then Pippin climbed on to the warm sheets, and Crystal’s pants. She curled up, so I let her sleep there for a while.

We were over at Shady Acres for dinner. We all sat there and played Balatro. I was doing ok, and clicked skip to get a free rare joker. Of course it turned out to be Obelisk. Needless to say, I didn’t pick it up. I’ve been trying to win the run on green stakes. I think the farthest I’ve made it was round 17 or 18. So I keep trying.

Back to work for the next couple of days. After a couple of weeks of all over the place shifts, I settle back into closing all week. As always, the first day back after a couple days off is a shock, but we shouldn’t be getting any deliveries today, so that’ll make it just a little easier.

Podrick was a good boy this morning, letting me (mostly) to sleep in. I don’t know what time The Beautiful One was woken up, but I assume that it was mere minutes before I finally woke up.

The coffee has been brewed, and is slowly being consumed. It’s gray outside, and looks like it’s rained a little, either in the night, or sometime this morning. I don’t know if I’ll be weed whacking over at Shady Acres this afternoon or not. For right now, I’ll just assume that that’s what I’ll be doing for at least the first hour when we get there this afternoon.

Twas a good Saturday. We got up and once we were ready, we grabbed the town wide garage sale map, and we were out on the town. I’m pretty sure we hit just about all of the sales scattered through town. I got a new coffee mug, along with one for Crystal. We also found high heeled sneakers, and some foam rollers for her. Oh, and a new pair of Bluetooth headphones for a steal.

Back to work tomorrow afternoon. I’ll be starting laundry in a few, after I can get my eyes to focus. Not too much to do, as I did laundry on my last day off, on Wednesday. But we’ll get everything ready for the next week.

It’s summer time, when is it going to start getting warm?

The collection grows

Just a quick note. I just finished putting together the LEGO Cullen house from Twilight. I enjoyed putting it together. For those of you new here, I like the Twilight Saga. I have the books (multiple copies), movies, etc. Yes, I know the books and the movies aren’t the greatest in the world, but hey, ya gotta have hobbies, amirite?

It sits on top of the bookcase, because we have a kitten. I don’t want to give him any sort of thoughts that he could jump up and break it. Looking at where it’s placed, I’m pretty sure he can’t make it up. And he was sleeping while I put it up there. So I think we’re gonna be ok. I’ll be sure of that in the morning, if it’s still sitting there.
