Playin’ with the Queen of Hearts knowin’ it ain’t really smart

Good Friday morning my friends. It’s a bright and sunny day out there so far. Pippin is crying to have one of us open the back door. I keep telling her sooner or later, the table will have to go away. But today won’t be the day. I’ll set the table up a little later.

Again, I slept like the dead. I really kind of like second shift. I can sleep in a little bit, yet still go to sleep a little later. I think that’s a pretty good deal.

We had a very good dinner last night. Last Saturday, or Friday, I can’t remember anymore – when we went grocery shopping, we found some jalapeño and bacon meatballs. Well, we consumed them last night, with some pasta, and some Alfredo sauce. The meatballs were good. Just not good enough to get us to buy them again.

As you can tell by the featured image, we got to play host to the Northern Lights. Again, we played host to the beautiful dancing lights. As soon as Crystal said “it’s on, grab your phone”, I also grabbed the little tripod. So that’s what I used to take all my pictures. Sone of them actually have a 30 second exposure. So some turned out pretty good.

My memory is muddy, what’s this river that I’m in?

Good morning everyone. It’s a gray day up here north of the wall. I think it’ll be sunny again tomorrow. But for today, it’s a quiet one out there. It’ll be a nice day off. I have Chaucer laying on me already.

We’re watching the news. It looks like Hurricane Milton didn’t hit as hard as it was expected. I’m not minimizing the damage or loss of life. It still looks like it hit pretty hard. The video is heart breaking.

So, the rebuilding process starts all over again. I don’t think I could live in an area like Florida. The possibility of having to rebuild every year, or every second year. No, thank you sir. I politely decline.

Nothing planned today. Maybe I’ll play some Zelda. I’m trying to get into the final dungeon. I don’t want the game to end. But we’ll see.

What’s for dinner?

And what better way to say “I love you” than with the gift of a spatula?

Woot I got to sleep in!

That feels pretty good. So much better than getting up at 4:30. Plus it’s day light out as well. I hate getting up and it’s pitch black out there. But I guess I should be getting used to that. It’ll be my life for the next 4-6 months.

Closing shift today, and then a day off the next day. Weird schedule this week, but I can’t complain, even though I’ll be working the whole weekend. It’ll either be crazy busy Sunday, or totally dead.

But for right this second; coffee. Lots of coffee.

Sorry this is so short, I’m still trying to focus my eyes. Yep, it’s Wednesday. Let’s get that shit done!

Now, teacher, don’t you fill me up with your rules

I almost forgot to post!

That’s what happens when you change your schedule around and go to the second hand store right after work. Spoiler alert; we didn’t find anything that we needed to have.

Coming home, I turned on Zelda. I beat the Goron area, and have now moved on to the Hebra area. Going from flames to ice. Good times.

We’re having nachos for dinner. Crystal is going to put weed into it, so we can really chase the pangolin later tonight.

Other than that, nothing really is different from yesterday. Except I can sleep in a little bit tomorrow. Yay!

Be safe out there, Floridians.
