The blackness would hit me and the void would be calling

Good morning fellow waker-uppers. It’s a somewhat gray morning out there, but it could turn around and get sunny. We’ll see. For some odd reason, my alarm was shut off this morning. Crystal says I only slept in about 3 minutes.

It’s slowly inching closer to the weekend. The town is doing its annual town-wide garage sale. I’m a little excited for it. Last year, I had to work so I missed it. Not this year. I have some cash ready, and we’ll be picking my mom up around 9 on Saturday.

Hopefully, we’ll find something.

Yesterday was a physically busy day. I started out the day by sweeping and mopping the work trailer. Then I loaded it, and BossLady and I went over to our warehouse where she picked out some stuff for the garage sale. Today I’ll be moving the stuff over and texting pictures of the items to BossLady to tell me the prices.

Good times.

Ok, time to drink some coffee and to try and wake up. Happy Thursday!!

That jukebox in the corner blastin’ out my favorite song

Good morning, welcome to the summer solstice! The first official day of summer is here. It’s bright and sunny out there with a breeze. It looks like it’ll be a nice day outside. I was up a couple of times in the night, but managed to fall asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow.

Yesterday was a nice day off. I did go to work, and did some work things for a couple of hours. Then there wasn’t anything to do. Seriously. There was nothing. Even BossLady tried to come up with something for me to do, but couldn’t think of anything. I was pretty much back home just before noon.

Crystal worked on a pair of pants while I made some lunch for us, and then I mostly played TotK for the afternoon. We both took a break and went to the local second hand store. They were having a half off the entire store sale. I couldn’t find anything that jumped out at me, but Crystal found some cool sheet sets. I’m sure she’ll go into more detail about the sheets over on her page.

I played some more TotK.

When it was time, I started dinner. Bacon cheese burgers, and two different kinds of fries. Tots for me, and sweet potato fries for the beautiful one.

It was a really good day.

Six o’clock already I was just in the middle of a dream

The alarm scared me this morning. We’re awake, and it’s a gray morning out there. It looks like it’s finally rained most of the night. Which is good, we needed the rain here in town. The grass around the area was starting to look pretty dead.

Back to work today.

Hello, friends. It’s Tuesday morning, the coffee has been brewed, and is currently being consumed by the two of us.

Yesterday was a pretty good day. Crystal got four or five sheets to make more pants, and is working on a pretty cool pair. She was working on the most of the evening as I was playing TotK.

We went shopping for more that just sheets yesterday. We also went grocery shopping, at the ghetto co-op. It’s an older store, with a lot less selection wise, but we got what we needed for the next couple of weeks. It was a fun morning out.

Ok time for a refill, happy Tuesday!

Some Alabama-jamma, she my Dixieland delight (ayy)

Good morning bitches! It’s bright and sunny out there, and it shaping out to be pretty good out there. We have to go grocery shopping today. So we’re actually heading out to a different SlightlyBiggerTown, because they have an open thrift store. Crystal is in need of more funky sheets, so that’s where we’ll go.

The cats let us sleep until the alarm. I sleep all the way through the night. Of course, once the alarm went off, it’s a free pass to climb up on the bed to wake us up in only the ways that cats can. pippin is lounging in the front window, so that means Chaucer took over the back door.

It’s Juneteenth in the states today. I think it’s an excellent holiday, because I think this is a topic that we still need to talk about. We need to talk about it a lot.

Yesterday we went over to Shady Acres. I spent the first 45 minutes or so mowing my parent back yard. When I finished I was covered in dust and grass clippings. But it doesn’t look like a forgotten field, it actually looks like a backyard again.

Mom made tacos for dinner last night. She also tried a new recipe – Lakota Fry Bread. It was very very good! I am had a couple tacos. They were pretty good. Not spicy at all, but pretty good.

So yeah, in a few hours we’ll be heading out to SlightlyBiggerTown for groceries, and to hit the thrift store. Hope y’all have a great day!
