I woke up at 6:15. In my mind that was ok, only 15 minutes before my alarm goes off. Wrong. While I was lying there, waiting for the alarm to go off, I remembered that the alarm is set to go off at 7. Well, shit. I managed to fall back into a lightish sleep until the alarm went off.

Now, we’re all awake, and the coffee is brewing. There should be enough to get a couple of cups while it’s still brewing.

We didn’t do too much of anything yesterday. After Crystal got ready, we drove to SlightlyBiggerTown and grabbed some groceries, some of which are outside, as the freezer is full. Thankfully, it’s 10° out there, so they’re safely frozen out there. Most of the food is for tonight – we’re going to have appetizers for dinner tonight. A whole bunch of everything.

After the groceries were put away, we had lunch, and then I settled down to play some video games. We had a couple of hours to kill, before popping over to Shady Acres. I just wanted to go over and give my parents their Christmas gifts that arrived on Wednesday. I think they liked them. I didn’t stay long. Crystal didn’t go, because she was napping.

I got home, and played some more video games. I was playing No Man’s Sky. I was heading to an objective, and it decided to crash, so I tried the demo of Dave the Diver, which is a cute little game. I played that for a while. Then it was time for dinner.

I can’t really remember what we did after dinner. I think I played some more No Man’s Sky. I played that for about an hour or so, then it was time to start the winding down process, and slowly start to get ready for bed.

I gotta work in a few hours, so I’m pushing all chores until tomorrow. Hopefully, now that I’ve lived through Christmas Eve, New Year’s Eve will hopefully go smoother. Either way, I’ll make it through it. I’m working with a different person today. It might go a little smoother.

Sail away, sail away, sail away

Good morning party people. It’s not too much of a party here, as it’s freakin dark, and TinyTown is mostly asleep. It’s the day before New Year’s Eve. I have the day off, and I get to spend the whole day with the love of my life. And we get to do fun things today!

And by fun, I mean after we wake up, and get dressed and all that fun stuff, we get to drive into SlightlyBiggerTown to get some groceries – just the essentials, and the weed store – just the essentials, and maybe even Subway for a quick lunch, and come home. We’re not going over to Shady Acres for dinner tomorrow, but since the Christmas gifts came in, we’re going to pop over this afternoon for a few minutes so they can open their gifts.

Fun stuff.

I’ll be working all day tomorrow, just like Christmas Eve. It’s all good, if it goes as quickly as Christmas Eve did, it’ll be an action packed day.

But today is like a bonus day. We’ll get dressed later, and head on down the road. I told Crystal that I’d be skipping chores today and tomorrow, and I’ll take care of them on Monday. Do them all in one fell swoop. Then, boom! Clean clothes and a clean flat.

Chaucer is already in between us on his new favourite blanket. As soon as Crystal gets under it, he ignores my legs and would rather stretch out on top of her or snuggle in between us. With the right blanket, he’s a snuggle monster.

It’s close to midnight and something evil’s lurking in the dark

Ok, I gotta make this one quick, I have to pack a lunch today. Yesterday was somewhat easy- all I had to do was pack some leftovers the night before. Well, I ate those, so I have to build from scratch today.

Also today, it’s Friyay! It’s hard to tell by my bleary eyed look right now, but I’m hella excited about this development. I just don’t have the energy to show it yet!

Last night, when my head hit the pillow, I was all the way out. I fell asleep with Pippin snuggled up to my neck/shoulder area. I was out. I didn’t feel Crystal come to bed, but that’s pretty normal. I didn’t roll over to get more comfortable, I was out until my alarm went off.

I’m impressed with myself.

Work was pretty slow yesterday. It’s the week in between holidays. It’s expected. But we made it through, and we’re slowly pushing to the weekend. Just the early shift today, and then New Year’s Eve, and boom! It’s the new year already.

2024.

Scary.

Oh god, I need more coffee. Happy Friyay all. Let’s get the day started.

Heart breaker, soul shaker I’ve been told about you

Welp, here we are again. Up at the ass crack of dawn. I’ve actually been up for about 15 minutes before the alarm. That’s the story. When it’s my day off, I’ll sleep right up to the alarm. Work days, up before the alarm. I can’t explain it, and I’m not too fond of it.

Anyways, it’s dark. It’s always dark. But I have some coffee, and the weather seems agreeable this morning.

I think we had a pretty good day yesterday. I got the notice that the Christmas package had arrived. I picked it up, and ran/walked back to the Flat. I hurriedly wrapped up the package and brought them out to Crystal.

I did really well! She loved everything that I had picked out. I’m sure in a couple of hours when she gets up (she’s already awake, but I wouldn’t get out of bed if I were here), she’ll post all the individual items.

After the presents, and a couple of hours later, we went out and Crystal got her hair did. It looks amazing. I was told I’ve done a great job of keeping the lines straight. I’ve done a good job. Woot!

Ok time for me to continue with the morning stuff. I’m a little ahead of the game, I packed the last of the chicken bowls, so lunch is taken care of.
