But if I smell like smoke, it’s only ’cause I’ve been through hell

I was very surprised when I looked at my phone, forced my eyes to focus, and saw that the time was 6:58. The Beautiful One and Podrick let me sleep in an extra half hour. I mean I was up around 5? I think. I had to pee, then back to bed. then I was up briefly at 5:30 when the cat feeder went off.

I only heard Pod try to climb the screen once, maybe twice. Then quietness. That is when I went under again. I was just a little warm, and just not able to breathe through my nose too well. So I was a little tossy and turny. When I looked at the time I was very surprised. And decided right there, to get up and start the day.

The day has been started.

Coffee brewed.

Back to work this afternoon. I’m working with the same co-worker as yesterday, and the same one tomorrow. Yesterday me and the co-worker celebrated Rex Manning Day, by wearing Hawaiian shirts, and manifesting better weather, as the snow was flying yesterday. It’s gonna be a little warmer today. And it’ll be a lot nicer tomorrow – so there’s that.

I need more coffee. Happy Thursday, y’all.

You call me on my car phone with that je ne sais quois you say you need a little of my ooh-la-la

Good morning. I’ve been mostly awake for a while. We’ll leave the morning alone with that lone sentence. He’s in full asshole/feral mode today. I’m pretty much done with him this morning. Pippin isn’t too impressed with him either.

Yes, once again it’s Rex Manning day. So that automatically makes the day just a little bit better. We’re back into a bit of a cold snap out there. It rained for an hour or so last night. And it was just starting to snow while we were pulling ourselves out of bed.

So let’s get the day started! Coffee for everyone!

If I look a little drunk, it’s ’cause I drank some

Podrick has been Podrick this morning. I kept waking up, hearing him do random bullshit throughout the house. I got up once to see WTF he was doing. I thought he was up in the toilet shelves. Nope, he was playing with an empty soda box in the kitchen.

Now remember, I’m double masked at this point. I stumble out of the bedroom and lift just one side, so I have one eye out. I see what he’s doing and do an about-face and head back into the bedroom. No I don’t know why, but I’m moving like I’m walking down the street.

Remember the two masks?

Because, I didn’t. I almost did a face plant in the space between the bed, and the closet. Once I felt the corner of the bed, I stoped, righted myself, and crawled back into bed.

But I’m slowly starting the day here. We’re up, Podrick is mostly mellow right now. I’m almost ready for a second cup of coffee. And a couple of more minutes, I’ll be able to feed the cats.

It’s Tuesday motherfuckers. And that means screaming into the void.

Ain’t afraid to get a little bit of mud on the tires

Like Crystal, I don’t think I can sleep in the morning. I was up early again. Podrick was bopping around, but I don’t think he was really factoring in to it. I was warm, and my face is stuffed up big time.

The weekend wasn’t bad at all. It’s nice to have two days off in a row. You can’t kind of recharge a little in those days. We got shit done the first day, then got some more shit down on Sunday. But Sunday was a little more relaxed. I played video games.

Me. I played them.

Most of the day, and into the evening.

But now, back to reality. Work for the week. But right now, it’s bright and sunny out there. And for the few seconds that I was outside to grab this mornings featured image. It’s not too bad out there this morning.

The table has been set up in the back door. This is about the only time that they sit side by side – awake. Sure they snuggle and cuddle off the shelf, but they’re sleeping at that point. The back door brings people togather.

Coffee refilled. Let’s fucking goooo!

The thing about a small town, word’s gonna get around

It looks gray, damp, and cold out there this morning. Spring on the prairies is a nasty business. Nasty, until the morning you wake up, and everything is green. It kinda sneaks up on you. However, it was a really nice drive into SlightlyBiggerTown. Since it’s a long weekend this weekend, the grocery store wasn’t as empty as we’re used to.

We made good time to the next town over. First stop; the pharmacy. Crystal needed some eyelash glue, so we stopped in there and looked for what Crystal needed. She couldn’t find what she was looking for, so we hit up the town general store to look for a child proof door knob thing. Couldn’t find one, so off we went to the grocery store.

Like I said, it was a lot busier than we’re used to. The first half of the store was pretty empty, because it’s a more open area, as it’s the bakery, the fresh cooked food, and the vegetable area. It’s always more difficult, when you’re looking for something for dinner, before you’ve even eaten lunch, so we headed into the general area for the meat and potatoes of the grocery shopping experience. Simone for the last 3 or 4 shopping events, we haven’t had a list; we’ve been shopping by vibes.

After the grocery store, we only had a couple more stops to go. We hit up the weed store, I team across the street to the vape store, and then we drove to Subway. We grabbed our sandwiches, and made the 30 minute drive back to TinyTown.

We ate our Subway, and I put on angry science man. I fell asleep for the end of the video, and since I had Pippin on my lap, I asked Crystal to grab the controller. For the next couple of hours (with massive help from The Beautiful One) I did stuff in Saints Row 4.

After that, NXT’s Stand and Deliver. Which was fun. Some of the matches went the way I hoped, and some didn’t. Our hero, Joe Hendry had a great match, where he valiantly tried to defend his title against three other wrestlers in a Fatal Four way match. But sadly, he lost the championship.

Chore day here. Shady Acres this afternoon. But until Shady Acres, it’ll be a relaxing morning. I might even play more Saints Row.

Coffee first. Happy Easter, pagans!
